It took some time, but Zane managed to explain everything that had happened to Aaron, Sheila and Ajax. They seemed a bit afraid when Zane told them the effects of the first command, but as Warner vouched for me, they eventually relaxed.
We ended up sitting in the living room, just breathing for a bit. The last few months had been… a lot. Attacks, lies, secrets, people dying, me becoming a full–blown Luna with magic and authority—learning my new powers, and then understanding how dangerous they can be.
Ajax leaned back with a groan, tossing a cushion in the air and catching it.
“I swear, we need a break before something explodes,” he muttered.
Aaron chuckled. “The end of the school year is around the corner. Why don’t we actually celebrate something for once?”
Zane looked at me, then back at the others. “Lia’s been officially announced as our Luna now. That deserves a party.”
I blinked. “Wait—no. That’s not necessary.”
“Shut up,” Sheila said immediately, throwing the cushion at me.

“You’re not skipping out on your first pack party.”

“Yeah,” Warner grinned. “You saved all our asses. Let us throw you something. Please?”
I sighed, trying not to smile as everyone started chiming in with ideas and arguing over decorations.
“Fine,” I said. “But nothing dramatic.”
They all ignored that part.
The party started right after sundown.
I stood in front of the mirror in our room, fixing the last bit of my eyeliner. My hair was pulled back just enough to show my mark, and the purple and silver dress shimmered softly under the golden lights of our bedroom. It felt strange to wear something that made such a loud statement. But maybe it was time to stop hiding. Especially after the entire town had heard my voice the previous night—even if they didn’t remember.
Zane stepped behind me, sliding his arms around my waist as he pressed a kiss to my shoulder.
“You look like a queen,” he murmured, eyes meeting mine in the mirror. He was in a tailored silver tux, sharp and stupidly attractive.
“And you,” I turned slightly, poking his chest, “look like

“I do.” He grinned.
I chuckled, leaning up and pressing a kiss to his lips.
Having a boyfriend was cool.

Hand in hand, we made our way down the stairs of the pack house. As soon as the pack saw us, a loud cheer broke out.

Everyone was gathered to welcome us. Lights twinkled the wide open space, soft music playing in the background, and the smell of freshly grilled food drifted through the air. But none of that mattered when I saw the way their faces lit up seeing us.
The Hounds hooted the loudest. Ajax even whistled, pretending to faint. Sheila elbowed him.
“She looks gorgeous.”
“Careful guys, don’t tell her that, she’ll start playing goddess again,” Aaron added with a smirk.
“Too soon, Aaron, too soon,” Sheila scolded.
I laughed, my heart full.

It felt good to be able to joke about it. To make light of something I feared I’d have nightmares about.
The party was beautiful.

Music played, people danced, and laughter filled every inch of
the pack house. I’d never seen the Hounds this relaxed. Even Christy had shown up, sticking close to Sheila but smiling more than I’d seen in days.
Zane pulled me close after a while, nodding towards the dance floor.
“We never finished our prom dance,” he said softly.
I smiled. “We never even got halfway through it.”
“Let’s fix that.”
He took my hand and led me to the middle. A slow song started, and the rest of the world faded. His hands found my waist, mine rested on his chest. We moved gently, in sync, his forehead brushing against mine.
“Do you have any idea how proud I am of you?” he whispered.
