The Mind-Reading Mate Why Is the Lycan King So Obsessed With Me novel Chapter 434

Chapter 434: The Sweet Turns Sour

They didn’t say anything when Talia came back to their table with the cakes and pastries. She also poured warm tea into their cups. "My La—Your Majesty, this jasmine tea is very fresh. I picked it just yesterday. If you drink it while it’s warm, it should help calm your mind."

[I was only gone for less than fifteen minutes, and they already look tense,] Talia thought nervously. [Are they fighting? Oh no... if the Beast King snaps, he might tear down my bakery!]

Primrose wasn’t in the mood to overthink Talia’s thoughts. The only thing she cared about right now was finding a way to make her husband feel at ease again.

"Thank you, Miss Talia." Primrose gave her a gentle smile before adding, "I’ll call you again if I need anything."

It was a polite way of telling Talia to give them some privacy, and thankfully, she understood the hint immediately.

As soon as they were alone, Edmund spoke up, "But... have you really forgiven me?" His voice softened. "I still feel like everything I’ve done isn’t enough to make up for my old mistakes."

"Why would you think that?" Primrose asked gently. "Do I look like someone who can’t forgive you?"

As far as she could remember, she hadn’t yelled at Edmund in a long time, nor had she ever thought about doing anything bad to him anymore.

If anything, the only thought that came to her mind whenever she looked at him these days was how handsome he was.

"No! No, that’s not what I meant." Edmund lowered his head, sounding flustered. "It was just something that crossed my mind. It doesn’t mean I think there’s anything wrong with you."

In other words, it was simply Edmund overthinking again.

"Come forward," she motioned for him to lean in, and Edmund obeyed immediately. In that moment, Primrose pressed a light kiss to his lips. "There. Your ticket to stop you from overthinking."

Primrose let out a soft sigh, then smiled at him. "If you really want to know what I feel, honestly, I still can’t forget our past life." She continued, "But that doesn’t mean I’m holding a grudge. And like I told you before, I judged you harshly even though I didn’t know you at all back then. That’s why, Edmund, you shouldn’t think everything that went wrong in our past was only your fault."

Edmund looked into her eyes for a moment before letting out a rough breath. "I’m sorry," he murmured. "I must have ruined the mood. We came here because you missed the taste of these sweets, but I ended up making everything feel sour."

"Who said you made these sweets sour?" Primrose laughed softly. "Just looking at your face is enough to bring back my mood. Now, take the spoon and feed me."

Primrose opened her mouth happily, accepting each spoonful her husband gave her.

Meanwhile, Talia stared at them in confusion. Just a moment ago, they looked like they were arguing, but now they were acting like a lovey-dovey couple who could never be separated.

She simply shook her head and thought, [Young couples... I used to be like that too with my husband.]
