"Since the prize herself agrees, I won't be polite," Jack said, clapping his hands. Two of his men immediately stepped forward.
"Tie her hands and hang her over the side," he commanded, his eyes flickering toward Arthur to gauge his reaction. "Then pour blood into the water to draw the sharks. I want to watch them eat her, piece by piece."
To Jack's disappointment, Arthur’s face remained a blank mask, his eyes betraying no emotion. He truly didn't seem to care about his stake.
Soon, Lindsay was being suspended from a metal grate extending from the sixth deck, her body dangling over the vast, dark ocean below. Jack's men poured buckets of blood into the water, a crimson stain spreading through the waves.
Twenty minutes later, the sharks arrived. They circled in the water directly beneath her, a pack of hungry predators. Lindsay hung like meat on a hook; all it would take was a single slash of a knife, and she would become their meal.
"Arthur, she's such a beautiful woman. Are you sure you're willing to feed her to the sharks?" Jack asked, a cruel smile playing on his lips.

"No, I think this is enough bloodshed for one night," Jack mused, stroking his chin as if pondering a great philosophical question. "Tell me, should we let them eat her feet first, or just drop her in and let them swallow her whole?"
"She's yours now. You decide," Arthur said, turning away, though his eyes darted nervously toward the entrance.
Lindsay’s gaze was also fixed on the entrance. She was waiting for Yves.
A cold sweat broke out on Arthur's brow. He cursed Jack under his breath. *That bastard, he's actually going through with it!*
He was about to protest, but Jack spoke first. "Not exciting enough. Let's lower her a little more." He then turned to Arthur with a taunting look. "You're not going to back out now, are you?"
For the sake of his pride, Arthur couldn't admit defeat. "No. I lost her to you fair and square. Do whatever you want with her, even if you cut the rope right now."
Jack let out a booming laugh and gestured for his men to lower the rope again.
Now, Lindsay was suspended barely two feet above the churning water. A single leap was all a shark would need…
