Felicia spotted Max right away, holding Anne close as they stood together in front of a shelf packed with toys. Andrea was next to him, grinning as she held up a plushie, clearly asking Anne if she liked it. Felicia couldn’t make out Anne’s expression or hear what she was saying. From where she stood, they looked just like a happy little family.
Heather followed her line of sight, her eyes catching on Max. His looks and the way he carried himself made him impossible to ignore. Even just his profile, tall and handsome, was enough to make anyone stop and stare. He was every bit as striking as her own brother.
“What are you looking at, Felicia?” Heather asked, curious.
Heather had never actually met Max, so she didn’t realize she was looking at Felicia’s daughter and, technically, Felicia’s husband.
Felicia pulled her gaze away, her eyes dropping. “Nothing.”
Jeremy showed up with Yara in his arms. Yara had already picked out something she liked and was bubbling with excitement as she showed it off to her mom and godmother. Felicia reached out and stroked her hair gently. The thrill of shopping was gone for her. She just grabbed two random souvenir cups without even thinking about it.
Jeremy took care of the checkout, then they all stepped out of the gift shop. Felicia tried to hang on to the good mood she’d worked so hard to find, but the scene from a moment ago weighed on her. That uncomfortable feeling crept in again. Still, she kept her emotions in check, making sure nothing showed on her face.
Yara spotted another character she loved and ran over. Heather started snapping pictures of her with the costumed mascot while Felicia and Jeremy hung back, watching.
Jeremy glanced at Felicia. “You okay?”
She snapped out of her thoughts and looked up at him, forcing a small smile. She didn’t really know what to say.
“Still haven’t figured out how to talk to your daughter?” Jeremy asked quietly. He’d seen Max and Anne earlier too.
Felicia’s eyes drifted to Yara, sadness flickering there. “To Anne, I’m just a stranger. There’s no place for me in her world. I don’t even know how to introduce myself. Maybe it’s best to just watch her be happy, without interfering.”

Update pls...
The story is a drag. How can they write crap like this where the female lead is like a lapdog, and the male lead is a complete trash? They use a child to blackmail the mother into staying. The female lead should not go back to the trashy male lead. I would prefer her to be with Jeremy....
Hey. Thank you for updating this novel here. Request you to update a big bulky lot of chapters please. It is such an interesting novel that 10 per day is simply not enough. Thanks again...
