“Evelynn, are you married?” Tatiana asked.
She really was digging for every detail, but Felicia got it. After all, if your child took a sudden liking to someone and wanted to have dinner, any parent would be on guard.
Felicia nodded quietly.
Tatiana’s face softened a little.
Anne kept chatting with Felicia, her eyes shining with excitement. She had already saved Felicia’s number in her smartwatch and asked, “Can I call you when you’re not busy at work?”
A gentle warmth bloomed in Felicia’s chest. She smiled. “Of course you can.”
Right then, Max’s phone rang. He said a quick word to Tatiana and stepped out to take the call.
He came back a moment later, but he wasn’t alone—Andrea was with him.
Andrea’s eyes darkened for just a second when she saw Felicia.
“Andrea, you’re here. Come sit,” Tatiana said with her usual gentle tone.
Andrea walked over and sat beside Tatiana, which put Max right next to her. With the seat next to Felicia now empty, she finally felt her nerves relax a little.
“Daddy, why didn’t you tell me Aunt Andrea was coming?” Anne suddenly piped up, her tone tinged with annoyance.
Andrea smiled softly. “I called your dad last minute. He probably didn’t get a chance to tell you. I brought the custom doll I had made for you—it’s ready. I’ll give it to you in a bit, okay?”
“Thank you,” Anne said, but she didn’t sound all that excited.

Update pls...
The story is a drag. How can they write crap like this where the female lead is like a lapdog, and the male lead is a complete trash? They use a child to blackmail the mother into staying. The female lead should not go back to the trashy male lead. I would prefer her to be with Jeremy....
Hey. Thank you for updating this novel here. Request you to update a big bulky lot of chapters please. It is such an interesting novel that 10 per day is simply not enough. Thanks again...
