Mandy’s tenth birthday was a celebration straight out of a fairy tale, hosted at the Gilbert family’s private estate. She was the center of their world, and Wyatt and Amber went all out to make the day unforgettable. There was a castle-shaped cake that must have cost a fortune and flowers so fresh and exotic, you could almost smell the ocean on them.
When Mandy emerged in her custom princess dress, stepping through the grand double doors, her parents couldn’t hide their pride or the love in their eyes. She twirled across the room, beaming with confidence, and made her way up to the stage. The guests couldn’t help but capture everything on their phones.
Anne snuggled up next to Max, eyes shining as she whispered, “Mandy looks so pretty.”
Max wrapped his arms around her and nodded, sharing in her awe.
When the music ended, Mandy gave a graceful bow. Wyatt and Amber joined her on stage, each taking one of her hands. Together, they sang to her, their voices blending with laughter and all the happiness they felt. The way they looked at each other, you could just feel how much they meant to one another. That kind of happiness was contagious, and everyone in the room felt it.
Down among the guests, Anne suddenly went quiet. She leaned into her dad, her excitement fading.
Max noticed right away. “Hey, what’s wrong, sweetheart?”
Anne looked up, her face a little downcast. “Why isn’t Evelynn here yet?”
“She’ll be here soon, I promise,” Max said softly, hoping to cheer her up.
Anne just lowered her head, looking thoughtful and a bit sad.
Max squeezed her hand and tried again. “Is there something you want, Anne? Just tell me and I’ll make it happen.”
She mumbled, “I wish I could have my mom and dad celebrate my birthday together too.”
Max brushed her hair gently and smiled. “Next birthday, you’ll have both of us there, I promise.”
Anne’s eyes lit up right away. “Really? Can you and Evelynn both be there? And you have to sing for me too.”
Max nodded, ruffling her hair. That was all it took to bring her smile back.
The party went on, and it wasn’t until after the luncheon that Felicia finally arrived. Anne spotted her right away and ran over, throwing herself into Felicia’s arms.

Update pls...
The story is a drag. How can they write crap like this where the female lead is like a lapdog, and the male lead is a complete trash? They use a child to blackmail the mother into staying. The female lead should not go back to the trashy male lead. I would prefer her to be with Jeremy....
Hey. Thank you for updating this novel here. Request you to update a big bulky lot of chapters please. It is such an interesting novel that 10 per day is simply not enough. Thanks again...
