“I’ll take you home,” Jeremy offered.
Felicia met his gaze. “The party’s still going. I can just have my driver pick me up.”
Jeremy thought about it for a second. “Alright. I’ll walk you downstairs, then.”
“Okay.”
They took the elevator down together. In the hotel’s main lobby, Felicia called Dean. Jeremy stayed by her side, waiting until she was safely in her car before leaving. He glanced at the documents in her hand.
“Can you send me a digital copy of that?” he asked.
Felicia hesitated, then nodded. She understood what he meant. Right now, Jeremy was the only person who could help her. “Sure.”
She sent the file to his phone. Jeremy checked his messages. “Actually, there’s a real estate company chairman at the party tonight. I can talk to him for you.”
Felicia wasn’t sure how to thank him. Before she could say anything, Jeremy smiled. “Don’t thank me yet. Let’s see how it goes first.”
Felicia smiled back. “Alright.”
About twenty minutes later, Dean arrived at the hotel. Jeremy made sure Felicia got into the car before heading back to the banquet hall.
When Felicia got home, she immediately sensed the heavy mood in the house. Greg was still at work, pulling a late night at the office. Ava saw her come in and hurried over, placing a pair of slippers on the floor for her.
Felicia walked into the living room and saw her father.

Update pls...
The story is a drag. How can they write crap like this where the female lead is like a lapdog, and the male lead is a complete trash? They use a child to blackmail the mother into staying. The female lead should not go back to the trashy male lead. I would prefer her to be with Jeremy....
Hey. Thank you for updating this novel here. Request you to update a big bulky lot of chapters please. It is such an interesting novel that 10 per day is simply not enough. Thanks again...
