Felicia could tell from his tone that he was talking to Andrea. When he hung up, she just stared at him, staying silent. Max stood up and glanced her way. “I’ve arranged a car to take you home,” he said.

Felicia kept her voice calm and distant. “That won’t be necessary. I’ll have my driver pick us up.”

Max paused, noticing how cold and distant she was. In the end, he didn’t say another word. He just turned and left the lounge.

Felicia stood there, feeling a little stiff for a few seconds.

“Felicia, let’s go have a seat.” Ava’s voice brought her back. Felicia nodded and pulled out her phone to call Dean.

The medical report was still sitting on the coffee table. Ava picked it up and looked it over. The doctor had already explained everything they needed to know before leaving.

About twenty minutes later, Dean arrived at the hospital.

Felicia didn’t go back to the villa. She had made plans with Savannah for a maternity photoshoot. The baby was coming soon, and she wanted something to remember this time by.

The photoshoot was scheduled for two in the afternoon at a fancy studio inside a high-end mall. Savannah was already waiting at the entrance when Felicia arrived.

When she spotted Felicia, Savannah came over and linked arms with her. “Let’s go.”

The photoshoot took almost two hours. They picked out their favorite pictures right away. Felicia decided she didn’t need any frames or extras. The photos would be edited and mailed to her in about three days.

After they left the studio, Felicia asked, “What do you want for dinner? My treat.”

Savannah grinned. “It’s not about what I want. The real question is, what can you eat these days?”

Felicia smiled. “As long as it’s not super spicy, I’m good with anything.”
