Chapter 710 Working Together in Secret
“Alright.” The men in white coats nodded, seemingly satisfied as they packed up the ability–testing device.
Their work for the day was done.
Number One wanted to limit Theresa’s power, and the three days of ability–suppressing injections were meant to fully suppress her abilities.
Every day, the data would be uploaded directly to them
Even after finishing, they lingered in the room. Sage frowned. “Aren’t you leaving?”
One of the men glanced at him. Just then, a deep voice sounded.
“Where is Number 7913?”
Theresa’s door was pushed open again. A man in his forties, dressed in a dark suit, walked in.
Her eyes lit up when she saw him, whereas Sage was caught by surprise. “Decision Maker Two!”
“Go take care of your business.” Herold didn’t even glance at him as he issued the order directly.
Sage’s gaze fell on Theresa. “Number One told me to stay here.”
“I need to understand our experimental subject. Any other questions?” Herold asked coldly.
Hearing this, a flicker of struggle appeared in Sage’s gentle eyes. A few seconds later, he looked at Theresa again. “Call me if anything happens, alright?”
“Got it. You can go now.”
Theresa didn’t even look at him and waved her hand hurriedly.
Sage left the room, still worried.
Herold closed the door behind him. As soon as it shut, Theresa called out, “Herold!”
The cold expression on Herold’s face softened immediately, and his eyes, like stars, sparkled. “I’m glad you’re okay.”
“Mr. Norris, we gave her the ability–restoring serum,” said one of the men.
“Great.” Herold nodded at them and strode over to Theresa. Only then did he notice she was still wrapped in a towel. “Why are you dressed like this?”
Before Theresa could explain, one of the men said, “Last night, our new comrade staye Maker Ten all night to cover for us.”
Theresa and Herold were both speechless.
Decision
His starry eyes widened in disbelief, and he looked at Theresa with pain, anger, regret, and above all, guilt.
She was Tania’s precious niece. She’d talk about Theresa all the time, and he hadn’t even protected her.
Seeing the emotions in his eyes, Theresa quickly explained, “I’m fine, Herold. I still have clothes on

underneath.”
Her towel still covered her fully–dressed self, including er thermal leggings rolled up to her knees.
Finished
“Terry, you don’t need to explain. It’s all my fault,” Hero said, unable to hide the ache in his eyes. “I haven’t protected either of you, and Tania’s suffered a lot because of me.”
Theresa fell silent.
Herold’s expression grew serious. “Get ready, Terry. I’m sending you away today.”
“You are?”
“Yes. After you go back, live well with Tania. Leave everything else to us.”
“What’s the plan?”
“I’ve spent years researching a virus that mimics the appearance of the zombie virus. A pseudo–zombie one, if you will. It’s called the R–virus,” Herold said while looking up.
He added, “A comrade of ours has been heavily injected with this pseudo–virus. If it weren’t for you, he would be the chosen Zombie King. He’ll use himself to infect all the high–ranking members of the Starborn Order.”
