The room buzzed with conversation, the hum of voices never fading.
Nearly everyone was talking about Mrs. Davidson, their tone unmistakably envious.
The moment Alexander arrived, people flocked to him; he was always the center of attention at gatherings like this, effortlessly commanding the room.
Millie, half-turned in the crowd, caught sight of Danielle standing off to the side. A sly smile tugged at her lips as she gathered every eye in the room and strode purposefully toward Danielle.
Stopping in front of her, Millie swirled the wine in her glass and spoke softly, “You don’t mind, do you?”
It was a question that came out of nowhere.
Danielle raised her eyes, giving Millie a cool, indifferent glance.
Millie’s smile widened, just enough to show her teeth. “You two are divorced now. If everyone calls me Mrs. Davidson, I assume you don’t have any objections?”
Danielle arched a brow, understanding instantly—Millie was here to gloat, plain and simple.
Alexander didn’t seem to care. Why should she?
“I see you’ve picked up something I left behind. Is there really any point in bragging to the original owner?”
Gian and Kirsten stood nearby, making no effort to hide their amusement. Their eyes practically sparkled with mischief as they watched.
Millie let out a cold laugh, spine straight, pride radiating from her entire posture. She took a delicate sip of wine. “Are you sure it was you who left, or was it him who left you? Don’t pretend, Danielle. I never noticed before just how good you are at twisting the truth.”
She acted like she didn’t care, but Millie could see right through her. The feigned indifference, the forced calm—it was all an act. Millie had seen enough women like her to spot the signs immediately.
“You regret it now, don’t you? Well, it’s too late.”
With that, Millie clicked away on her heels, head held high.
“Wow,” Kirsten whispered, half-laughing. “That was… something.”
Gian pressed a hand to his forehead, rubbing his brow. “Let’s hope she keeps up this level of confidence.”

The readers' comments on the novel: The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell
I'm already in chapter 432 ATM and I have the impression that the story is so slow. Daniele remains in the dark, her reputation is low and inexistent, her accomplishment and professional abilities are stiĺl hidden, her enemies are taking the joy in humiliatihg her. No evolution in the plot? Please don't stay long in this, readers might lose interest in the long run....
Please update...
The last chapter was too short. More pls. Thank you....
