As she pushed open the doors, she saw him. Alexander stood near the entrance, dressed in a sharp black suit, his posture immaculate. He was looking directly at her, his eyes filled with a mixture of concern and encouragement.
Across the room, Nathan and Harold had also arrived and were speaking in low tones. When Nathan saw Danielle and Alexander, a knowing, calculating smile touched his lips.
Danielle's heart hammered against her ribs. She knew the undeclared war was about to begin.
Clutching her files, she walked toward the center of the hall, driven by a single thought: she had to win this project. She could not let Nathan succeed, and she would not let Alexander down.
Alexander watched her determined back, his own heart a tangle of emotions. He wanted her to win, to achieve her dreams, but he also feared that this very success would make her Nathan's primary target.
He clenched his fists, making a silent vow. He would protect her, no matter the cost.

The tender presentation began. The judges took their seats, and media cameras turned on.
Danielle stood on the stage, her voice clear and steady as she outlined the project's technical advantages and future potential.
In the audience, Alexander watched her, his eyes filled with pride and admiration. Across from him, Nathan and Harold exchanged furtive glances, clearly plotting something.
Finally, Danielle concluded her presentation to a round of applause.
Danielle knew this was a threat, and it was only the beginning. Nathan would have more tricks up his sleeve. She had to stay vigilant and, with Alexander, face the storm that was about to break.
The hall buzzed with conversation as industry leaders and investors mingled.
Alexander stood at the center of it all, a commanding presence in his black suit. He was surrounded by people eager to speak with him—partners, industry veterans, and young professionals hoping to network. He handled them with practiced ease, his expression a mask of polite detachment.
From a corner of the room, Danielle watched him, a glass of water in her hand, an inexplicable ache in her heart.
Just then, an elderly man with white hair approached Alexander, shaking his hand warmly. "Mr. Davidson, it's been too long. It's wonderful to see how well you're managing The Guild."

I knew it! He’s in love with her but he thinks she loves his brother!...
Oh poor Bianca... regrets, regrets :)...
This is it! Revenge. Way to go Dani....
OMG! Chapters 451-462 had me on edge. I wish we could also read Alexander's POV. I swear I want to punch him and Millie. This story is kind of a push and pull. The main character will win some, then lose some. Hope the writer gives Danielle a big win....
I hope not a lot of important dialogues get cut out, especially between Danielle and Alexander. But I can't complain, really. Thank you again for the updates....
