The location of their field assignment was highly classified, known only to key personnel at the Aerospace Institute.
A cold smile touched Nathan’s lips. “Come with me, Dani. I’m not going to hurt you.” His voice was unnervingly soft.
“Why would I go with you?” Danielle took a step back, her eyes fixed on the men behind him. “Where’s River? What did you do to him?”
“He’s fine. Just sleeping,” Nathan said dismissively. “I’ll say it one more time: come with me. Don’t make me force you.”
Just as she was about to refuse, a wave of dizziness washed over her. The strange scent was growing stronger, and her vision began to blur. She tried to grab the tent pole for support, but her body felt boneless. The world went black, and she collapsed.
In the last moment before darkness consumed her, she saw Nathan give a slight wave of his hand, and the men behind him moved forward to lift her from the ground.

When she woke up, Danielle found herself lying on a large, soft bed. The room was luxurious but cold, and the air carried the faint, salty smell of the sea. She shot up, her head throbbing as fragmented memories of the previous night flooded back: the strange scent, Nathan’s face, the cold glint of the stun batons.
She threw off the covers and rushed to the window, pulling back the heavy curtains.
Outside was a vast, endless expanse of blue ocean. The wind howled, whipping the sea into white-capped waves that crashed against the rocky shore. It was an isolated island, surrounded by nothing but water, with no boats in sight.
Danielle’s heart sank.
She turned and searched the room. Her phone, ID, and wallet were gone. Only the clothes she’d been wearing remained. She tried the door, rattling the handle, but it was locked solid.

Danielle stared at his confident smirk, a chill running down her spine. She knew Nathan was ruthless and would stop at nothing to get what he wanted. Bringing her here could only mean something terrible.
“What is it you really want? Just say it. Stop playing games.”
Nathan was silent for a moment before a placid smile crossed his face. “I don’t want anything. And I won’t hurt you.”
He paused. “I just want to watch a certain someone come undone.”

I knew it! He’s in love with her but he thinks she loves his brother!...
Oh poor Bianca... regrets, regrets :)...
This is it! Revenge. Way to go Dani....
OMG! Chapters 451-462 had me on edge. I wish we could also read Alexander's POV. I swear I want to punch him and Millie. This story is kind of a push and pull. The main character will win some, then lose some. Hope the writer gives Danielle a big win....
I hope not a lot of important dialogues get cut out, especially between Danielle and Alexander. But I can't complain, really. Thank you again for the updates....
