Too Good for You The Ex-Wife You Lost novel Chapter 119

Zayne opened and closed his mouth, struggling to get a single word out. Deep down, his heart tightened with resentment.

Noelle was supposed to be his mom, so why was she siding with another child?

Grinding his teeth, he clenched his fists and blurted out, "I hate you!"

Bonnie wrapped her arms around Noelle's neck and huffed. "Good, because we don't like you either!"

Clifford's expression darkened, and his voice dripped with mockery as he snapped, "Noelle, I believe you should explain why this little girl calls you her mommy."

Bonnie was about Zayne's age. If Noelle gave birth to her, that'd mean she'd cheated during their marriage. That thought alone made Clifford's fury spike.

Seeing right through his thoughts, Noelle let out a cold laugh and shot back, "Do you even have a brain, Clifford? After we married, I spent every single day with you. Could you not have known if I'd gotten pregnant and given birth to another baby?"

Holding Bonnie closer, she continued, "But yes, I am her mom now. If Zayne doesn't want me as his mom, plenty of other kids do. I gave this race car model to Bonnie, and you should know exactly how much it's worth.

"I don't mind calling the police if you won't pay the compensation. I can always hang a banner outside your company or make sure today's incident hits the Internet." She smiled.

Clifford snapped back to his senses and gave in. "Fine. I'll pay.

"How much is it? I'll transfer it to your bank account," he asked, pulling out his phone.

She calmly said, "100 thousand dollars. That's the standard market price. It's actually worth more since this is a modified, upgraded version, but since we're old acquaintances, I'll give you a discount."

Clifford felt a pang in his chest. Why would a tiny race car model be worth 100 thousand dollars?

Just then, spectators gathered around and picked up the race car model to examine it. "This is a special collector's edition of Vurbo! The price has hit 500 thousand dollars on the market, and 100 thousand dollars for repairs is honestly a favor."

Clifford's expression turned stormy. What kind of ridiculous toy costs that much? This was way too absurd!

Someone else chimed in, "Vurbo specializes in exact replica race car models of real sports cars, down to every detail. If the wheels are cracked, the whole shell probably needs replacing."

Once Bonnie left with Juned, Noelle turned back to Clifford with a smile. "Clifford, if you can't teach Zayne proper manners, I don't mind having someone do it for you."

After all, Zayne was now a young child who refused to apologize and instead made excuses for his mistakes. Thus, Zayne's behavior mirrored Clifford's.

Clifford pursed his lips in silence, while Noelle turned to Lola and meaningfully said, "I wish you a long and loving marriage. That way, you won't be able to harm anyone else."

With that, she turned on her heels and walked away.

Lola tugged at Clifford's arm, seething. "She's gone too far, Clifford. It's obvious she doesn't even show you the slightest respect!"

Clifford regained his composure and was silent for two seconds before saying, "Sooner or later, she'll suffer for being too arrogant."

It didn't matter if Noelle was decently skilled in racing. Racers had a peak window, and when her stamina and reflexes faded in a few years, she'd be worth nothing.

That was why she'd never measure up to Lola, the one and only Quake!
