“Julian… Director Morgan is over there. He’d like to have a drink with you.”
Sophia appeared, her voice gentle, but her eyes held a defiant challenge.
A woman who had disappeared for five years and was now married posed no threat to her at all.
The newly–promoted Dana Lynn was a much bigger threat to her.
Even though Dana’s looks were also strikingly similar to Eleanor’s.
But Eleanor was married, after all.
Dana, on the other hand, was dead set on seducing Julian.
So, she didn’t consider the returned Eleanor a rival at all.
Because Director Morgan was a veteran in the industry and a family friend of Jenson Blackwood, Julian gave Eleanor a deep look before heading toward Marcus Morgan.
“Wait for me.”
Julian said to Eleanor.
Eleanor nodded, glanced at Sophia trailing behind Julian, and calmly turned her head away.
She took her red wine and went out to the balcony for some air.
If she had known she’d run into such unpleasant people, she wouldn’t have come.
“Hello, miss. All by yourself?
Can I buy you a drink?”
Eleanor looked at the vaguely familiar man and remembered he was the male lead from a recent hit high school drama.
“Sorry, no thanks.”
She refused coolly.
The man had been holding his chin up, looking down his nose at people with an arrogant air.

To be honest, Eleanor thought, the guy was indeed good–looking.
He was just conceited and creepy.
She didn’t want to say more and turned to leave.
But the man, embarrassed and angry, grabbed her wrist.
“Do you know who I am?”
Aiden Roberts was furious.
His recent hit show was a massive success, his popularity and online traffic were unprecedented. Who didn’t try to flatter him?
When had he ever been given the cold shoulder like this?
Just because she’s a little good–looking, she’s putting on airs with him?
Did she really think that just because he got into the industry late, he didn’t know about Eleanor’s scandal from five years ago?
“Cut the act.
Your nudes were all over the internet back then, and now you’re acting all high and mighty in front of me?”
Hearing the word “nudes,” the memories of being verbally abused by the entire internet five years ago flooded back into her mind.
Eleanor’s expression wasn’t pleasant, but she wasn’t that angry either.
Her state of mind was completely different from five years ago.
There were so many people who didn’t believe her. Was she supposed to argue with every single person who slandered her, trying to convince them of her innocence?
After being in the entertainment industry for so long, Eleanor’s biggest realization was that you can’t prove your own innocence.
She had explained the things she hadn’t done, and that was that. Whether people believed her or not was up to them to decide.
But that didn’t mean just anyone could walk all over her.
Just as she was about to fire back, she heard an icy voice from behind her-
pter
“Who the hell do you think you are, pointing fingers at her?”

Julian’s cold, grim face appeared. The pressure around him was extremely low, as if they had stepped into an ice cellar.
Seeing it was Julian, Aiden’s expression quickly changed: “Mr. Blackwood, I was recommended by Director Leo Carter. This Eleanor was rude to me because I wasn’t cast, so I just retorted.”
Aiden’s handsome face and aggrieved tone–anyone who saw it would have to say his acting was good.
Eleanor found herself wanting to laugh.
No wonder he got famous.
But with a character this rotten, he probably wouldn’t last long in this dog–eat–dog entertainment
world.
“Leo?”
Heh. Brandon, tell Leo all our collaborations are terminated, effective immediately. As for this thing, throw it out. Starting tomorrow, I don’t want to see a single trace of him.”
With a single sentence, Julian completely destroyed Aiden’s acting career.
Aiden had thought about trying to charm his way out of it, maybe he could win over a cold CEO like Julian, but he never expected that in just one minute, his world would be turned upside down.
“No!
