Eleanor pushed Julian away again, hard.
In the quiet hall, every gasp was clear.
The man sat sideways, slightly above Eleanor, his gaze locked on her.
The deep darkness in his eyes made her instinctively hug herself and back away.
Seeing her move, Julian pushed himself up with one hand.
The terrifying danger from a moment ago vanished. Eleanor stood up too, looking at the man who was once again cold and aloof, wondering if the wolf–like man from before had just been her imagination.
Then she heard Julian ask in a low voice, “This is the lead actress’s scene. What are you doing here?”
Eleanor frowned, looking at the man with suspicion.
Didn’t he forbid Sophia from doing intimate scenes and ask her to film this one instead?
Why was he now accusing her of stealing the scene?
Eleanor was tired. She wasn’t in the mood to argue, and she was sick of his warnings, so she just came out and said it.
“Don’t worry, I won’t bother you anymore. I’m leaving the set today.”
After saying that, she turned and left.
She didn’t care what the man behind her was feeling.
Back at the hotel, Eleanor took off her makeup and collapsed onto the bed. It was just one scene, but it left her so exhausted that she drifted into a heavy sleep.
It was a restless sleep.
Until a call from Sarah woke her up.
“Eleanor!
The stills from the bed scene were leaked by someone! The internet is full of explicit photos from
the scene now!”
Eleanor opened Twitter, and the first thing on the trending topics list was a picture of her.
One showed her in costume, the other showed her completely naked.
Having been in the business for five years, Eleanor had seen her share of malice, so she remained relatively calm.
“Sarah, I didn’t take my clothes off during the shoot today. The photo is photoshopped.”
“I know, someone is intentionally trying to smear you. Eleanor, go find the director now and ask who was on set during the shoot today. I’ll contact the PR department to get that photoshopped picture taken down.”
After hanging up, Eleanor got up to leave when her phone chimed. Sophia had just posted a new
tweet-
[The person in the photo isn’t me. Although I’m the lead actress in ‘My Rainy Day,‘ Eleanor filmed the bed scene for me.]
As soon as she said that, the internet went even crazier.
“Doesn’t what Sophia said basically admit that ‘My Rainy Day‘ really has a bed scene, and that Eleanor really stripped naked for it?”
“Eleanor chased him for five years and failed. Now that she can’t land a Hollywood A–lister, has she just given up and thrown it all away?”
“She’s got a great body. I wonder which old sugar daddies she’s been with behind the scenes.”
With one tweet, Sophia nailed Eleanor to the pillar of shame.
Afterwards, even if PR proved the photo was photoshopped, netizens wouldn’t believe it unless Sophia publicly apologized.
Eleanor didn’t go looking for the director. She called Julian directly.
But she called several times in a row, and no one answered.
Eleanor immediately went back to Blackwood’s Villa, but Julian wouldn’t see her.
So she waited outside Blackwood’s Villa, staring at the bedroom she had watched on countless nights.
