"Yeah! Absolutely!" Sophia agreed eagerly, nodding her head. "Honey, go give our boy a hand, will you? He can't work with his health like this!"

Emmett sat on the edge of the hospital bed, his thick eyebrows knit together in a frown, as if his parents' words were falling on deaf ears.

Suddenly, he spoke up, his brow furrowed, "What about Clara? You all came to the hospital with me. Doesn't that give her a chance to skip town? No, I need to get back."

Hearing Clara's name, Sophia's tone became frantic and indignant.

"Clara? You're asking about her? Good riddance if she's gone! Look at you, you were always healthy! It's all her fault. If she hadn't cheated and left you heartbroken, how could a strapping guy like you faint?"
