Under the Veil I Rule (Amara) novel Chapter 510

Amara left, and Finnian watched her go, his gaze lingering on her back for a long time.

Just then, his phone rang. It was Liliana. “Finn, Mrs. Everly must have told you the wedding date by now. Should we… maybe take some engagement photos before then?” she asked, her voice tinged with uncertainty.

Finnian didn’t respond. Silence stretched between them, broken only by the faint static on the line. For a moment, it was as if the call didn't even exist.

Liliana grew flustered. “Finn, you don’t want to?”

Finally, Finnian spoke, but all he said was, “Correct.”

Liliana’s heart turned to ice, but she didn’t dare press the issue. She managed a few more words and ended the call with a forced laugh.

Holding her phone, Liliana paced around the room, a sense of dread creeping over her.

Was it her imagination, or had Finnian been subtly pushing back at her lately? Did he suspect she was involved in the incident where he was drugged?

Finnian left the family estate and headed back to his own apartment.

He did, in fact, believe that Liliana and Emma had conspired to drug him.

But at this point, he didn't want to confront them about it. He just had no intention of giving Liliana anything more. It was up to her to accept that or not.

If she couldn't, she was destined for disappointment.

Amara was incredibly busy over the next few days, either revising the script for *Letters from Yesterday* or overseeing the renovations at her new house.

One evening, when she returned, she found Mr. Kevin Everly sitting on the sofa, looking particularly pleased. The moment he saw her, he took her hand and said, “Amara, I’ve found a potential match for you. Would you like to meet him?”

A potential match?

Delighted by her compliance, Mr. Kevin Everly happily went to call Mr. Bishop Sr.

Back in her room, Amara felt a wave of anxiety.

She was pregnant. She shouldn’t be going on blind dates with anyone. It would be deceiving them.

She would have to tell Mr. Kevin Everly about the pregnancy eventually, and this would have been the perfect opportunity. But he had been so upset by Finnian lately that she felt it was better to wait, which was why she hadn't said anything just now.

Two days later, Amara dressed in a gentle, apricot-colored dress, applied some light makeup, and went to the meeting place as arranged by her grandfather.

Mr. Kevin Everly and Mr. Bishop Sr. had chosen BUFO Cafe for their meeting, a famous upscale restaurant in Wye frequented by celebrities and socialites.

Out of respect, Amara arrived ten minutes early, only to find that the man named Morgan was even earlier. When she walked into the restaurant, she saw him already seated, looking through the menu.
