She typed out the message and sent it. Morgan didn't reply, and Amara didn't say anything more. She turned off her phone.
Just as she was about to sleep, her phone buzzed. She picked it up and her eyes widened in shock.
A maid from the Sullivan family, one she was on good terms with, had sent her a photo of Fiona looking down at her phone.
That wasn't the point. The point was the emerald ring on Fiona’s finger. It was unmistakably her mother’s ring!
That vile woman, Fiona, had stolen from her mother again!
Just how much of her mother’s inheritance had Fiona taken? In that moment, Amara wanted nothing more than to storm into the Sullivan estate and give Fiona a brutal beating.
“Keep watching Fiona. If you see anything else like this, send me pictures.”
The maid who secretly messaged her was Amara’s informant inside the Sullivan household, an old servant who had come to the family with Amara's mother.
She was familiar with all of Amara's mother's possessions, so Amara trusted her judgment completely.
After sending the message, Amara sent the woman a tip, which she immediately accepted before replying with a simple “Okay.”
Putting her phone down, Amara bit her lip, her mind in turmoil.
It seemed that getting her hands on the Sullivan Group shares was more urgent than ever. Only with those shares would she have a voice in the Sullivan family. Then she could legitimately reclaim her mother's inheritance and finally deal with Fiona and Elowen.
