Just as Amara had expected, the reporters immediately dove into personal questions, completely ignoring the show itself. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed director Cedric Zade's smile was so strained it looked like it might crack.
But it couldn't be helped. For reporters, the main goal of a press conference was to get a scoop. What could be more interesting than celebrity gossip? They were determined to dig up as much as they could.
Amara waited patiently for the questions to finish, then smiled. “First, let me clarify that my marriage to Mr. Everly was a contract arrangement, so we weren't a proper couple. There’s no anger or sadness about his remarriage.”
“As for Mr. Everly and Ms. Porter’s marriage, I fully support it and wish them a long and happy life together.”
“Secondly, my relationship with Mr. Everly and Ms. Porter is simply that of colleagues on a film set. We are not on bad terms, but we are not particularly close either.”
“If you’re curious about our dynamic, just think about how you interact with your own colleagues. That’s what it’s like for us.”
After addressing those points, Amara cleared her throat and continued, “Today is the press conference for *Whispers of Winter*. I hope we can all focus on the show itself, rather than the personal lives of those present. Thank you for your questions.”
Her words finally deterred the reporters from asking more about her private life. However, they only asked a few questions about the plot before turning their attention to Liliana.
“Ms. Porter, has your wedding date with Mr. Everly been set? We heard you dated in college. Now that you’ve rekindled your romance and are getting married, you must be overjoyed, right?”
“Ms. Porter, has Mr. Everly proposed? Have you set a date for the wedding? He must be planning a grand ceremony for you.”
“Ms. Porter, how long have you and Mr. Everly been together? You must be so happy to be marrying him.”
The questions were all incredibly favorable to Liliana, and as she answered them, her face was indeed radiating with happiness. She went on and on about how wonderful Finnian was to her and how thrilled she was to be marrying him.
