A moment later, a glint of excitement appeared in the reporters' eyes. It seemed Keith was truly fond of the screenwriter, Amarise. This was definitely something they could build a story around.
More questions followed, but no one mentioned Amara being divorced again. Instead, they asked about why they were getting married and why Keith wanted to marry her.
Keith held the microphone and spoke generously, “Ama and I have known each other since we were kids. I've always liked her, and later, she started to like me too. Our marriage is a natural progression.”
The reporters, having gotten their fill of bombshells, left satisfied.
Keith took Amara's hand, intending to leave the venue. As they walked out, they were met by the sight of Cedric and the others, staring at them with their jaws dropped in shock.
With all the commotion inside, Cedric and the others must have known what had happened. Keith put his arm around Amara and grinned. “What are you all standing around for? Aren't you going to congratulate us?”
“…”
“Whoa, you two are really getting married?”
“I never would've guessed, Keith! You managed to win over a beauty like Ama. You're a lucky man…”
*Whispers of Winter* had been filming for nearly three months, and during that time, both Keith and Amara had become well-liked by the crew. So, everyone was happy to see them getting married.
Amara smiled, but inside, she was panicking.
She had planned to marry Keith secretly and then get a quick divorce once everything was settled, with a handsome compensation for him, of course. But how did it blow up like this?
Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Liliana smiling at her. It was a strange smile, somewhere between a sneer and satisfaction.
Either way, Liliana was no good, so her smile probably wasn't sincere. Amara paid it no mind.
In the afternoon, Finnian finished a tedious three-hour meeting. As he walked out of the conference room, he immediately saw Dorian Hawke waiting for him on the sofa.
He was about to ask Dorian what he wanted when Dorian stood up and strode over. “Finn, have you heard…”
