Besides, Finnian had personally witnessed Edith’s opposition to her and Keith, so there was nothing to hide. “They didn’t approve before, but they do now,” she admitted.
“They do?” Finnian was genuinely surprised.
To be honest, he knew a thing or two about Edith and Nathan. They were even more stubborn than his own grandfather, Mr. Kevin Everly. Given the circumstances, he was certain they would never approve of Amara and Keith’s relationship.
But it had been less than three days, and they had already relented. What had happened in between?
Finnian had a feeling that whatever had made Edith and Nathan change their minds was the very reason she and Keith were fighting now.
He shared this theory with Amara, who was utterly astonished.
Finnian was truly brilliant. With just a few scraps of information, he was already closing in on the truth.
She suddenly became curious. If she said nothing more, could Finnian figure out the rest on his own?
Seeing Amara staring at him without a word, Finnian felt confident his guess was correct. He continued his analysis.
“Those two old-fashioned parents of his clearly dislike you. For them to agree to the marriage, Keith must have had to pay a steep price.”
“And for years, Edith and Nathan have been vehemently against him being in the entertainment industry, always wanting him to come home and take over the family business.”
“So, did they demand that Keith quit his career in exchange for their permission to marry you?”
“And you don't want Keith to give up his career for you, which is why you two argued?”
Amara stared at Finnian in shock. She couldn’t believe he had pieced everything together from just a few clues.
