Under the Veil I Rule (Amara) novel Chapter 592

She didn't dare return to Andrew's room. Instead, she sent him a quick text, slipped out of the Everly estate, and went back to the Sullivan residence.

She and Larry had been sleeping in separate rooms recently. Once back in her own room, Fiona didn’t even bother to shower, collapsing onto the bed, her heart still pounding with fear.

Amara had something on her now. But what worried her more was whether Amara actually knew about her and Andrew, and what her next move should be.

With a heart full of anxiety, Fiona pulled the covers over herself and spent a restless night, unable to sleep.

The next day, Liliana called Andrew to ask how things were going.

Andrew lay in bed, running a hand through his hair. “I talked to Finnian yesterday, but he doesn't seem too keen on getting the marriage license. Don't worry, I'll have another serious talk with him. He'll listen to me.”

Andrew wasn’t a fool; he knew Finnian wouldn’t listen to him, but he didn’t want to lose face in front of Liliana.

Liliana played along politely. “Thank you, Mr. Everly. I’ll be waiting for your good news.” After she hung up, her expression immediately soured.

She knew she shouldn't have pinned her hopes on Andrew. That old fool only cared about partying and living it up, completely ignoring family matters. Why would Finnian ever listen to him?

She must have been out of her mind to ask him for help.

Liliana thought it over and decided Emma was a more reliable bet. After all, her marriage to Finnian was Emma’s doing in the first place. She had to find a way to work through Emma.
