Prompted by Liliana, Emma recalled the time she had kidnapped Amara, only for her to escape. A sharp glint appeared in her eyes.
If she hadn't failed then, Amara would be long dead by now… The thought circled in her mind, taking root.
Throughout the morning, Liliana subtly and not-so-subtly encouraged Emma to get rid of Amara. While Emma responded in agreement, her mind was on something else entirely.
She was thinking about Amara's pregnancy.
Finnian probably didn’t know Amara was pregnant. Otherwise, how could he still be so fond of her?
All she had to do was show Finnian the prenatal report. Once he knew Amara was carrying another man's child, he would surely give up on her.
But Emma wasn't going to act rashly. She planned to use this to kill two birds with one stone.
Her eyes darkened. After Liliana left, she had someone find out the date Amara and Keith had set for their marriage license. Then, she hung up the phone with a cold smile.

Finally, the day arrived for Amara and Keith to get their marriage license.
Amara woke up early to a message from Keith asking if she had everything ready.
She replied, “I went back to the Sullivan residence yesterday and got my proof of identity. I have my ID card, too. I’m all set on my end. How about you?”
Keith sent back an “OK.” “I’m good to go.”
Amara took her phone into the bathroom and asked while brushing her teeth, “Have you finished the script for ‘Letters from Yesterday’? What did you think?”
Over the past few days, Keith had continued to learn the business from Nathan while also reading the script, and Amara was eager for his feedback.
