When Her Death Couldn't Break Him (Cecilia and Nathaniel) novel Chapter 2113

Having finally persuaded her parents to return to the hospital, Denise breathed a sigh of relief. On the way home, she held onto their hands tightly, reluctant to let go.

"The doctor said your illness was caused by long-term overwork. You'll be able to go home after only one to two more years of treatment."

Denise continued emotionally, "Now there's only about half a year left of the treatment, and we can all be together again. Please don't try to run away secretly anymore."

Gently hugging Denise, Calliope cooed, "Okay, okay. I'm sorry for making you worry, Denise."

Brycen chimed in, "We were wrong this time, and we're sorry."

Denise smiled through her tears. "Don't ever do this again."

"We won't." Brycen nodded repeatedly, his tone gentle.

Magnus, sitting in the passenger seat, turned to look at the happy family and was inexplicably reminded of his own childhood.

He thought of the time when he, Cecilia, and their parents were all together.

He once had a beautiful family, but it slowly fell apart.

Truthfully, he wasn't overly sad when his parents died, but now, seeing another family happily together, he began to miss his parents.

Magnus looked at the heavy snowfall outside the window, and before he knew it, his eyes were a little red. Mom, Dad, I miss you so much.

But no matter how much he missed his parents now, he would never get a response.

All of a sudden, Magnus wanted to punch himself.

When Regas passed away, he was at least by his side, but when Paula passed away, he never went to see her out of resentment, and now he deeply regretted it.

As for Cecilia, she was very nice to him when they were kids, and he liked having an older sister to take care of him. But somehow, everything had changed.

It was only when they arrived at the hospital that Magnus snapped out of his memories.
