While Baron was still speaking, Westin had already ordered the plane toward Meridia. When Yvonne heard him asking about the two missing children, her voice faltered, heavy with guilt
and sorrow.
“There’s still no sign of them. It’s like they just vanished into thin air–not a single trace. I’ve been clutching my phone nonstop, terrified I’ll miss a call or text from an unknown number… but nothing. Not a single lead.”
She wanted to slap herself for being so useless.
Westin was worried too, but he still reported everything honestly to Baron.
Baron frowned, his expression tightening.
Thinking about how sharp those two children were, he said quietly, “No news might be the best news for now.”
Westin didn’t understand why he’d say that, but Baron didn’t explain. He didn’t dare press further and stepped back in silence.
The plane landed in Meridia not long after.
Baron immediately arranged for the best doctors to take Beth and her son to the central hospital for emergency treatment. As for the boy’s surgery, he didn’t have time to oversee it personally–but the best medical team was already working to keep him alive.
When Beth heard Baron’s words, she dropped to her knees with a thud and began kowtowing.
“Mr. Baron, thank you–and thank Ms. Stone too. I promise, as soon as my son wakes tell you everything I know.”
up, I’ll
“Understood. Take care of your child first.”
Baron waved dismissively, and Westin immediately ordered men to guard Beth and her son.
Shauna received Baron’s message and rushed over without delay.
She had originally planned to attend the auction under her godfather’s name, but before it even began, someone had shut it down.
Shauna had guessed that the person responsible was probably Baron himself. So, while the other elites made their way back, she’d followed quietly–never going too far, just close

enough to respond the moment Baron summoned her.
But learning that he’d landed in Meridia instead of Ocean City left her confused.
“Find out what’s happening in Ocean City,” she ordered.
Her instincts were razor–sharp.
Within minutes, her subordinates brought back reports.

One look at the situation in Ocean City, and Shauna immediately understood what Baron was planning.
“Split our people into three groups and enter Ocean City from different routes. The city’s on lockdown, but with our connections, we can get inside. Once anyone makes it through, have them check on the Stone family right away and report back to me at once. Make sure they’re protected.”
“Yes. Shauna.”
Her team sprang into action.
Soon after, Shauna led the remaining group to meet Baron.
He had already secured a place for them to stay.
“Mr. Baron,” she reported, “I’ve sent our people into Ocean City. The earliest we’ll have news is in about three hours.”
Baron nodded, clearly satisfied with her efficiency.
“Good work. Get some rest for now. Natalie will need a little more time before she wakes. Once she does, I want there to be good news from Ocean City.”
“Understood.”
Shauna didn’t know what exactly had happened to Natalic, but since Baron hadn’t lost control, it probably wasn’t too serious.
She returned to her room to rest while she could, knowing that once they entered Ocean City, a real battle might await them.
Meanwhile, inside Ocean City, Waylon and Flynn were trapped in their own home.
Masked men in black, armed with guns, had broken into the Stone family villa.

Waylon silently thanked God that he’d sent Ruby away carlier–along with the children.
He didn’t know where the kids were now, but anywhere was safer than this.
“Who are you people? What do you want from the Stone family?”
Waylon pulled Flynn behind him, keeping his composure as he demanded an answer.
The next second, someone punched him hard in the face.
“Dad!”
Flynn shouted as Waylon fell to the floor, fury flashing in his eyes.
He tried to help his father up, but a man in black grabbed him by the arm and held him down.
Pain exploded through Waylon’s body; his organs felt as if they were twisting inside him.
Then a man stepped in from outside.
The light was behind him, making it impossible for Waylon to see his face, but the man’s tall frame radiated an oppressive, chilling presence.
“Who are you?” Waylon demanded, trying to stand–but he was immediately restrained.
“What do you want? Let me go!”
Flynn’s pulse raced. He remembered what Waylon had said before–how Ocean City was on the brink of chaos. He’d thought his father was exaggerating. After all, who would dare cause such
a scene here?
But now, staring at the armed men in black and the cloaked figure who’d just entered, his heart climbed into his throat.
They really were after Moses.
