“Are you sure you can fix this? Hardly anyone knew I was Gianna’s ghost singer, and those who did were all loyal to the Nygard brothers.
“If I sign with your company and start putting out my own music, Gianna’s fans and even regular listeners are just going to assume I’m copying her.
“Marcelo and the rest will definitely come after me. They’ll hire trolls, smear me online, and use their connections to ruin me.”
The more Selena thought about it, the heavier it weighed on her. It felt like no matter what, she’d be dragging Amelia and the company into trouble with her.
Sure, doing covers or copying isn’t against the law. Tons of influencers make a living mimicking
others.
But copycats are still copycats. You never shake off that label, and long–term, it doesn’t last.
Amelia listened to her fears and couldn’t help but smile, then set the record straight.
“You’re the real singer. The ones who should be panicking are Gianna and Nygard Entertainment.
“Our job is to make the world see that you’re the true original. They’re the ones who should be worried.”
Seriously, how does it make sense that the original should be scared while the fake gets to live freely?
“Even so, I sang all her tracks in secret, and the evidence is gone.
“Every time I recorded, I was closely watched–I never had the chance to save proof.”
Selena let out a frustrated sigh. If she had solid evidence, she wouldn’t be stuck like this.
What scared her most was that even if she finally sang live on stage, the very next day, she’d be drowned in hate.
“You don’t have to stress about that anymore. Leave it all to me. You just focus on singing and writing,
“Real gold doesn’t fear fire. If you’ve got talent, it’ll shine–fakes can’t keep up forever”
Amelia spoke gently but with confidence, giving Selena the reassurance she needed.
She’d have Patience set things up and Josie plan everything out. Everything would be fine.

Once Selena dropped an album and people actually heard her voice, who would still care about Gianna, the washed–up singer who didn’t even dare perform live anymore?
When Gianna couldn’t act, couldn’t dance, and still had that lip–syncing scandal hanging over her, how could she fight back?
Meanwhile, Selena’s music would keep spreading and gaining fans, and the truth about who was genuine would be obvious.
Gianna wouldn’t dare sing onstage–she’d just keep hiding behind her excuse of “vocal cord issues.”
