Amelia leaned back in her chair, arms folded as she broke things down calmly.
“Look, she’s diving into this big–name drama, but the fans of that novel have crazy high expectations for both the story and the cast.”
Anytime a hit book gets turned into a show or movie, hardcore fans already picture their dream version of the characters.
If the adaptation nails it, great—but if not, the backlash is brutal.
That’s just how people are–the higher the hype, the harsher the disappointment.
And Gianna? Amelia knew exactly what her skill level was.
So she wasn’t even stressed–in fact, the more hype, the better.
Josie clapped like she’d been waiting for that. “Exactly! The harder she crashes, the better it’ll feel watching.
“And hey, we can’t just sit around either. We’ve gotta make sure our movie is flawless, so she sees what real talent looks like.”
Amelia nodded. “Right. We focus on our own work.”
“Mr. Manwaring and Tony are grinding non–stop on prep. I trust them. This movie’s gonna hit.”
While Amelia and her team stayed busy, the Popular Model Contest arrived right on schedule.
This year’s event was fully livestreamed, so there was no room for favoritism or shady moves. The organizers promised total fairness and zero tolerance for cheating.
The competition was run by the Modeling Association, headed by a three–time champion who also happened to be a high–profile socialite.
She wasn’t the type to be swayed. She prided herself on sticking to her principles and discovering new talent.
Marcelo had wanted to quietly boost Gianna ahead of time, but no one really took him seriously. They stayed polite but didn’t budge.
Part of it was because the president herself was strict, and the other reason was simple: Jeremy was keeping an eye on everything.
With him around, nobody would dare pull tricks right in front of him.

Unless Gianna genuinely stood out and the scores were very close, then the judges might throw the Nygards a bone.
That little extra insurance was exactly what Marcelo needed.
Maxwell, on the other hand, wasn’t nervous at all. He trusted his own styling skills completely.
Zoe sneaked a shy glance at Maxwell. He stayed focused on styling Gianna, not even bothering to look up at anyone else.
