When the Dead Still Call novel Chapter 159

Gianna smiled sweetly at her, clearly aware that Isabel’s mind was racing with countless guesses.

But she did not care. Once this woman disappeared completely, she would not have to waste time tearing them apart again and again.

“What do you mean, you …

Before Isabel could react, Gianna suddenly shoved her toward the railing, clearly having planned it all along.

Sure, maybe her brother would have another fiancée, and another after that, but that was a problem for later.

At least for now, she had gotten rid of the biggest thorn in her side.

This woman was just too dazzling. Even if she was not with Marcelo, Gianna hated her. She could not stand women who were more outstanding than herself.

So if she died, she had no one to blame but herself–for being too bright, for blocking someone else’s path to glory.

“Ah!” Completely off guard, Isabel was shoved straight over the railing and into the air.

She did not know how to swim, so if she fell into the sea, that would be the end of her.

Just as she lost her grip and was about to plunge into the waves, a hand shot out and grabbed her, pulling her back up with force.

Her heart pounded wildly as the sea wind roared in her ears.

When she finally looked up at the person who had caught her, she saw that it was Amelia.

She never imagined that the person who would save her would be Amelia–Marcelo’s real sister.

Isabel froze, completely blanking out.

Amelia’s sudden appearance took her entirely by surprise.

Why was she here?

They had barely exchanged more than a polite nod before this.

She was so shocked that she even forgot to say thank you.

Chapter 159 Who Else Is Here Besides Gianna?

Finished

Everyone knew how complicated the Nygards‘ family dynamics were, and that the true daughter, Amelia, was known for being rebellious and unpredictable.

Yet when Isabel met those clear, cold eyes, she actually felt safe.

Gianna, on the other hand, was stunned for a moment when she saw that infuriating woman appear out of nowhere and even rescue Isabel right in front of her.

Her carefully made–up face darkened.

Her again!

Why was Amelia everywhere?

Always showing up to ruin her plans–it was unbearable!

Just as Gianna was about to explode and yell, “mind your own business,” a familiar voice cut through the tension.

“Isabel, are you okay?”

Marcelo hurried over, his face full of worry as he looked at his fiancée with genuine concern.

Gianna froze, utterly caught off guard. She had not expected her brother to show up now of all times.

Did he see or hear anything?
