Amelia figured she should lend a hand too. If they could sign Isabel, even on a temporary contract, it would give their company a huge boost.

“Alright, that sounds good,” Isabel replied, nodding lightly. “We can go over the details and terms another time.”

Isabel was already tempted, but after hearing Amelia’s words, she agreed without a moment of hesitation.

Her quick and straightforward answer made the group like her even more. Soon, they were all sitting by the drinks counter, chatting and laughing like old friends who’d just reunited after

years apart.
