“Right then, Gianna deliberately tried to make the whole thing look real.

She hooked her arm around Vincent’s, wearing a smug, self–satisfied smile.

She just wanted to irritate Amelia. To show her that her little act of playing hard to get wouldn’t work on Vincent at all.

All her focus was on Vincent and Amelia now. She was so caught up in it that she even forgot to maintain her image in front of her brothers.

But Marcelo and Maxwell both noticed. They were angry, yes, but not blind. They saw the way Gianna clung to Vincent and gave Amelia that proud, provoking look.

Marcelo, the sharpest of the three brothers, narrowed his

eyes.

He looked at Gianna standing in front of him. A hint of doubt crept back into his mind.

When did Gianna and Vincent become so close? Since when were they close enough to hold onto each others arms like that?

Across from them, Amelia threw up her hands.

“Are you blind, or just can’t understand my words? I already said we didn’t hit them. If you don’t believe me, go check the security footage.”

Patience caught on fast and added, “Yeah, I didn’t hit Maxwell either. We were just standing here talking. Maybe someone else beat them up, and now they’re trying to pin it on us.”

Josie chimed in too, quick as ever. “Exactly. Guys like them probably made someone mad, got their butts kicked, and now they’re trying to blame women for it. Seriously, how shameless can you get?”

Now it turned into a full–on scene–three women, loud and united, refusing to take the blame.

Maxwell and Vincent’s faces turned dark with anger, their jaws clenched tight.

Even Marcelo, usually calm and collected, felt the heat rising in his chest. He looked like he was on the edge of exploding.

“Fine! Let’s check the cameras right now!” someone shouted.

“And get Officer Yarrow–he’s still at the party! Let him handle this!”

Emery and Diana were furious too, ready to throw their own family under the bus for the sake

The argument drew everyone’s attention.

What started as a small fight quickly turned into a full–blown scene. More guests gathered around, whispering and pointing, hungry for gossip.

Someone ran off to check the surveillance footage. Fabian Yarrow, who had been at the banquet, hurried over, still fixing his tie as he ran.

But when the results came back, everyone froze–the footage was gone. The camera feed had been tampered with. Nothing had been recorded.

Now, no one could prove a thing.

Only Amelia gave a small smirk, her expression calm and knowing.

Of course. As long as that fool was around, there would never be any video evidence.

The signal jammer on that blockhead was still working. As long as Gianna was nearby, the security cameras would all be disrupted.

That was exactly why Amelia had chosen to beat them up in public. She knew Gianna was secretly watching from not far away. She knew there’d be no video proof.

Thanks to that bitch, they got the perfect excuse to vent their anger.
