In the past, whenever her sweet granddaughter Amelia and her daughter Thea came to visit, the house would be filled with laughter and warmth.
The atmosphere had always been light, happy, and harmonious–nothing like now, with all the sarcasm, tension, and hidden scheming.
Ursula couldn’t help but think it was all because of Gianna, who had stirred up trouble and turned Raymond’s family into a chaotic mess.
There wasn’t even a shred of unity left among them!
As for Emery, she was just a naive fool. She always assumed that her daughter had become rebellious and disobedient after being gone for a few years.
But she had never stopped to wonder if there might be something more behind it.
At first, Ursula had believed it too. She’d thought Amelia really had gone astray out there, and that Gianna was genuinely kind and grateful.
But looking back now at certain details, she realized that wasn’t the case at all.
Especially after Amelia had healed Thea and even saved her own life after being poisoned, Ursula had seen clearly how capable and strong–minded she truly was.
Meanwhile, that blind and foolish couple had been completely played. And now, their three sons had followed suit, letting themselves be strung along like fools.
The more Ursula thought about it, the angrier she became.
Yet despite her frustration, she also felt powerless. She was old now–too old to do much of anything about it.
“Grandma, we’re not fighting. We’re fine! Just teasing each other a little. Totally normal!”
Among the brothers, Maxwell was the easygoing, simple–minded one. He was always the easiest to manipulate or brainwash.
He must have inherited that naive nature straight from Emery.
Hearing his words, Thea almost rolled her eyes right out of her head. Even Ursula looked ready
to burst.
He really thinks everyone is as innocent as he is?

Chapter 267 Glanna’s Puppets
“Enough. I don’t want to hear another word. I’m tired. I’m going to rest.”
With that, Ursula ended the conversation and let Thea help her up.
Finished
When she was younger, she’d been a fierce woman. If only she weren’t so old now, she might have twisted that foolish grandson’s head off right then and there.
After Ursula and Thea left, Emery quickly lost interest as well. Her mood had soured, so she too left the dining room.
She decided to take a walk outside, and Gianna, ever the tactful one, followed right behind her.

Something about him has changed lately. Why did he act like none of this concerned him?
“You’re also in the Nygard Group, aren’t you? Why don’t you personally keep an eye on her and mentor her yourself?”
