Chapter 358 PharmaCore 01
“Why are you running off so fast?”
Amelia hadn’t even finished talking before Patience disappeared.
She had actually planned to meet Josie for dinner.
What’s Patience escaping from?
When Amelia turned around and spotted that car, everything made sense.
And sure enough, Jeremy stepped out a moment later.
“What brings you here?” she asked right away.
“You’re out here checking out young guys. If I don’t show up, you’ll forget you have me.”
He looked dramatic and offended, suddenly feeling like he couldn’t compete with those 20yearold pretty boys.
“Stop being ridiculous.”
With the way he spoke, Amelia’s face warmed a little.
Jeremy was getting bolder every day, and she never knew what to say
“Come on, let’s eat.”
He didn’t even wait and pulled her straight into the passenger seat.
“No, I already made plans.” Amelia reached for the door.
back.
Josie had asked her out a few times, and she’d pushed it off every single time.
She couldn’t keep cancelling. But bringing Jeremy along would be
super awkward.
No wonder Patience had sprinted away.
“Who’d you make plans with? Those young heartthrobs?”
“You’re way too paranoid.” Amelia gave him a look and tried to open the door again.
Jeremy stopped her. “I was kidding.
“But calling me paranoid? That sounds like something a couple would say.”

Amelia had just thought he was finally talking like a normal person, but that last sentence made her tense right back up.
“Why are you really here? If it’s nothing important, I’m leaving. I’ve got work.”
“No, really, I was just joking,” Jeremy rushed out, suddenly nervous. “I’ll stop. Let me take you.”
He was scared she’d actually get mad, so he didn’t dare joke again.
Since he backed off, Amelia gave him the address and accepted the ride.
Halfway there, she regretted it and wondered if she’d been too harsh.
Before, she would’ve laughed that comment off.
Now she felt like she’d overreacted.
Jeremy, on the other hand, realized a little too late that he might be turning into a “henpecked” type.
And it was only the start. If he was already that nervous now, what would the future look like?
No way. Next time, he had to find a chance to toughen up and stand his ground!
They both fell into their own strange thoughts.
When they arrived, Amelia didn’t get out right away.
“By the way, National PharmaCore 01 is recruiting. Interested? I can recommend it to you.”
Jeremy knew she was a powerhouse in medicine and pharmaceutical research. Keeping her at Nygard Group felt like wasting her potential.
He didn’t want that for her.
“How do you even have a recommendation slot?” Amelia raised a brow.
PharmaCore 01 wasn’t some random place. It was full of elites-oneintenthousand types.
Unless he was senior staff, he wouldn’t even qualify to recommend
anyone.
“My mom works there. She gets spots, but she’s too lazy to use them. She gave one to me and told me to find someone.
“This is important. I can’t just toss it to anyone.”
