Then, Gianna feigned concern and brought up the mysterious medicine Amelia had given their grandmother, her voice dripping with false worry:
“Amelia, I heard the pills you gave Grandma aren’t from any official manufacturer, and they’re not from a hospital prescription … Don’t you think that’s dangerous?”
She casually added, “I remember Grandma used to be perfectly healthy. How come after taking your medicine, she suddenly ended up like this…”
She didn’t directly say “poison“, but her hesitant tone and meaningful looks made it clear she was hinting something to everyone present.
The real reason for Grandma’s poisoning? Obviously, the strange medication Amelia brought.
Sure enough, the people who’d been unsure earlier started pointing fingers at Amelia, thanks to Gianna’s sly trick.
Aside from Thea, everyone else gave Amelia suspicious stares.
“Amelia, what did you give Grandma? Some dodgy stuff? Are you trying to harm her or what? What’s your deal?”
The first to speak up was Maxwell. He was always the most rash and hot–blooded of the siblings.
The others were thinking the same thing but didn’t dare voice it. After all, plotting against an elder was no small matter.
The moment Maxwell spoke, Thea snapped.
“Maxwell, do you even realize what you’re saying? Even if Amelia’s cold sometimes, she’d never hurt Grandma, let alone try to kill her! Are you insane?”
If he wasn’t out of his mind, how else could he think that?
Amelia must be crushed hearing this!
She never got any affection from her family, and now she had to endure this kind of smear.
Emery had thought the same as Maxwell, but after hearing Thea’s words, she sobered up slightly.
“Amelia, even if you didn’t mean harm, you shouldn’t just hand Grandma some random drugs. That stuff could be deadly!”

This girl might not be wicked, but she was definitely foolish. Must’ve been duped by some scam artists.
Compared to her, Gianna was much more sensible and clever. At least she wouldn’t get fooled by cheap tricks.
“Let me clarify. The medicine I gave Grandma is certified by the national drug agency. It’s not some back–alley product. It has official anti–counterfeit labels and traceable codes.

At last, she had a chance to push that girl down. Let’s see if she dares act arrogant again.
She was more and more let down by her useless daughter. All she did was bring shame to the family.
