Is it greed for the family money, or plain jealousy over the bond I have with Grandma?

The more Amelia thought about it, the angrier she got. Her hands balled into fists, nails digging into her palms.

She knew she couldn’t let this go. Gianna had to pay.

But first, she needed hard proof; she couldn’t tip her hand too soon.

So Amelia started plotting her next move carefully.

Suddenly, she remembered that not long ago, when she’d gone to that out–of–the–way herb shop in the country, she’d bumped into Gianna.

Back then, she hadn’t thought much about why Gianna was there, but now it felt weird, even suspicious.

Gianna showing up there could tie her to those rare, slow–acting poisons.

Thinking that, Amelia immediately messaged Tyler Grant to dig into it.

Tyler was her intel pro and her most trusted undercover person.

In a villa on the edge of town.

“Gianna, didn’t I tell you not to rush things and not to be reckless? Look at you–you almost got – caught with the poisoning!”

Amelia had been so close to uncovering Gianna’s plan to hurt Ursula, and Regina was scared out of her wits when she realized that.

Luckily, she wasn’t caught in the act.

If she had been, Gianna could’ve ended

in jail.

Gianna stamped her foot, full of defiance. “Mom, I just want that old hag gone sooner! As long as she’s alive, you have to stay hidden like this.”

Ursula didn’t like Regina, and the old lady had some pull with the Nygards. Raymond and Emery still respected her a bit.

As long as she existed, Raymond couldn’t openly clash with Emery, and Gianna would stay a foster child.
