The shift from Matt-Mirage to Henri-Mirage had many people quietly laughing at Matteo's expense. Although Henrietta was still promoting him, it was clear now that it was strictly business. His recent promotion had already bred resentment, and people were eager for any opportunity to cut him down, even if it was just with a few snide remarks.

Matteo heard the whispers the moment he walked in. The new sign felt like a slap in the face, and the speculative glances from his colleagues made him feel utterly humiliated. He stormed into the CEO's office.

"Why did you change the company name?"

Henrietta looked at him coolly. "Can't keep up the act anymore?"

Matteo froze for a second before his expression shifted into one of feigned concern. "Henrietta! Why would you change the name? It was perfectly fine. It's such a hassle."

Henrietta smiled faintly. "It's my company. I can change the name whenever I want. What does it have to do with you?"

"Everyone knows you started this company for me, that even the name was about me," Matteo said, his voice rising. "Are you changing it because you don't want to get back together?"

Henrietta took a sip of her coffee. "Have I not been clear, or do you just have a problem with listening?"

Veins pulsed on Matteo's forehead. He seethed, "Henrietta, you're chipping away at everything we had. Do you want to get back together or not? You can have your tantrums, you can act out, you can be as dramatic as you want. You can even hit me or scream at me. But don't cross the line! Is this all because I forgot to say happy birthday? Are you going to keep this up until there's nothing left to save?"
