Jonathan's comment drew everyone's eyes to Naomi.
Mr. and Mrs. Hughes hadn't been aware of the details, so Jonathan’s words naturally sent their minds racing. They turned to Naomi, their expressions tinged with blame. "Naomi, what on earth has been going on between you and Zebulon?"
Naomi took a deep breath.
With everyone gathered here, perhaps this was the right time to finally come clean.
Ignoring her parents, Naomi was about to speak when a knock echoed from the door.
Herbert, being the closest, went to open it.
His voice was a mixture of cold surprise when he saw Lennon standing outside. "Lennon? What are you doing here?"
Hearing Herbert call him by name, the others all turned to look at the doorway.
Lennon hadn't expected to find a room full of people. His eyes flickered for a moment, but he maintained his usual cool demeanor as he walked in with a bag. After greeting the elders, he handed the bag to Naomi.
"I've written down the instructions for the ointment. This is your dinner. Eat it before your stomach starts acting up again."
Everyone stared, astonished by Lennon’s profound care for Naomi.
Mr. and Mrs. Gonzalez were particularly annoyed and angry.
Lennon's considerate actions made them look like incompetent parents.
Mrs. Gonzalez was especially furious. She had explicitly told Naomi to stop seeing Lennon, yet here he was at the hospital. And from the looks of it, he had arrived long before they did.
