"There are snacks in the car. If you're hungry, eat something first. I'll take you out for a proper meal after we're done here."

Naomi's eyes welled up.

She had been terrified and helpless when they were harassing her, but she had forced herself to hold it together. Now, with Lennon taking care of everything so calmly, all her vulnerability and fear came rushing out.

She didn't dare to think about what would have happened if Lennon hadn't arrived.

Covering her face, she nodded and quickly got into the car. The familiar scent of Lennon inside the car instantly calmed her nerves.

Outside, Lennon and his men were talking to the police. A short while later, Lennon got back in the car.

"You didn't eat anything?"

Seeing the untouched snacks, Lennon raised an eyebrow. "Or do you not like these?"

Naomi shook her head. "No, I'm just not very hungry."

Naomi knew she had no appetite. After everything that had just happened, she couldn't possibly eat.

Lennon hummed in understanding. "Then we'll go straight to dinner later."

Naomi nodded.

She wasn't sure when it started, but going out to eat with Lennon had somehow become a normal, everyday thing.

She was even getting used to Lennon appearing like a guardian angel by her side, always when she needed help the most.

She couldn't help but turn to look at him.

But he caught her in the act.

Naomi's face instantly turned red, and she quickly looked away.

A slight smile touched Lennon's lips.

Even though he knew he probably shouldn't ask, he couldn't resist.

"What are you looking at?"
