Who’s the Dog Now? novel Chapter 67

Zebulon's grip was painfully tight.

Naomi's skin was fair and delicate, and Zebulon was using far too much force. A ring of red marks quickly formed on her wrist.

Seeing this, Patricia immediately pushed Zebulon away.

“Are you crazy? Go find whoever posted it! Naomi has nothing to do with you anymore. Why should she clear up your mess?”

“A good ex should act like they’re dead. And you’re not even an ex, just some jerk that Naomi gave up on. What right do you have to throw your weight around in front of her?”

“You!” Zebulon raised his hand, and Patricia rolled up her sleeves, her expression screaming, If you dare touch me, you’ll see what happens.

The threat of Patricia's mockery had made him lose his temper, but he quickly calmed down.

Ignoring Patricia, he looked directly at Naomi. “Naomi, are you going to fix this or not?”

Naomi rubbed her wrist, the stinging pain almost bringing tears to her eyes, but she held them back.

Even if she was going to cry, she wouldn't do it in front of these two.

“This has nothing to do with me, and I have no obligation to help you,” Naomi said, her voice icy. Her gaze was so cold it was startling. “Excuse me, but we were about to eat. Could you please move?”

“Naomi!”

Zebulon started to say more, but when he met her freezing stare, his heart skipped a beat. A wave of panic washed over him, and he found he couldn't hold her gaze.

Naomi seized the opportunity to lead Patricia out of the cafeteria.
