The moment she got into a taxi, Vida started calling her relentlessly. She had unblocked her mother's number just in case there was a real emergency with Hale, and now she couldn't get a moment's peace to block her again.

"Miss, aren't you going to answer your phone?" the driver asked, looking at her in the rearview mirror.

"It's a spam call," she said, finally managing to block Vida's number again.
