Because it was far from the Aurelius Group headquarters, they had never moved in, leaving it vacant until Yvonne returned and took up residence.
"The owner is Janina. She's my wife. I bought this apartment for her," Julius explained again.
The officer looked at Yvonne. "Please show me your identification!"
Yvonne's mind was still reeling.
For some reason, the sight of police officers always made her instinctively afraid. She hurried to her room to get her ID card and handed it to the officer.
One of the officers looked at the name on the ID and frowned.
"Yvonne? So you're not Janina, the owner of this apartment."
As he said this, his eyes seemed to drift downwards.
He noticed the cluster of red marks on Yvonne's neck.
The security guard standing outside gasped, his eyes wide. He had seen the marks on Yvonne's neck too.
They were all adults; it didn't take much to figure out what that meant.
So the guy actually brought a sex worker home, got caught by his wife, and she straight up called the police and reported him.
That was right.
The call had been made by Janina.
Coincidentally, during her last visit to Solara Heights, Janina had chatted with this new security guard, so they were acquainted.
Half an hour earlier.
The guard had received a call from Janina.
