After I Stopped Loving Him novel Chapter 126

“Ethan, come on, take me with you. I really want to go.” Sophia looked at him, her eyes shining with hope.

Ethan shook his head. “Why would you want to come? It’s a business event. It’ll just be a bunch of people talking shop, nothing interesting for you. Don’t you girls have your own parties all the time? You never run out of invitations.”

Sophia was the sweetheart of her family, loved by everyone, and her status in the city’s upper class was impossible to miss. Anytime the socialites threw a party, her name was at the top of the guest list.

She leaned in a little. “Ethan, is the head of The Main Group going to be there? I heard he’s invited. I want to see him again. I met him once, and I haven’t been able to get him out of my head.”

That was the real reason she wanted to tag along tonight. She wasn’t interested in the business crowd, not really. She just wanted to see Dylan Main, the head of the most powerful family in town.

Ethan’s brow furrowed. “Dylan Main? He’s a total player. The guy changes girlfriends like he changes his shirt. You met him once, and you’re still thinking about him?”

Sophia just shrugged. “Come on, what man in our circle is actually faithful? As long as he comes home at the end of the day and doesn’t have kids everywhere, I can live with it. What matters is keeping my spot and making sure my children inherit The Main Group.”

She’d seen more than enough men with mistresses and secret flings. Sophia was realistic about it all.

She’d fallen for Dylan Main at first sight, plain and simple. He was so gentle and attentive, and honestly, just as handsome as Ethan. Maybe he was a flirt, but that only meant plenty of women liked him. And even though he’d had countless girlfriends, none of them ever said a bad word about him after things ended. That had to count for something.
