After I Stopped Loving Him novel Chapter 160

Isabella sneezed a few times in a row. She just knew Natalie had to be talking behind her back, probably cursing her right now.

Ethan had yanked her out and pushed her into the car. He climbed in after her, and the driver, barely daring to breathe, took off as fast as he could.

Ethan sat in stony silence the whole way. His face was a storm cloud, and Isabella could tell that no matter how many times she tried to explain, he wouldn’t believe a word she said. So she didn’t bother. She just turned away and watched the city lights pass by outside, trying to calm herself with the view. Honestly, if she stared at Ethan’s face any longer, she might lose her appetite.

Fifteen minutes later, they pulled into the villa. Isabella blinked, a little surprised. The ride was over already? She hadn’t even gotten to enjoy Cabinda’s night scenery before being forced to face Ethan again.

Ethan jumped out first and marched straight into the house, not even glancing back at her.

The driver leaned over and whispered, “Isabella, what did you do to make Ethan so mad this time?”

“I didn’t do anything,” she replied.

“He looks furious. You really did nothing?”

“It’s not me. He’s just got a tiny heart and a bad temper. People who get angry all the time age faster, you know. He’s already five years older than me. If he keeps this up, by the time he looks fifty, I’ll still look twenty.”

The driver had no comeback for that.

Isabella climbed out of the car at her own pace and strolled inside like nothing was wrong. Once everyone was out, the driver hurried the car into the garage and clocked out for the night.

Inside, Isabella headed for the stairs.

“Did I say you could go upstairs? Come here,” Ethan called out, his voice cold as ice.
