“So, it’s Mrs. Adams. You and Linda together? That’s not something you see every day. Does Ethan know about this?”
Isabella didn’t even blink. “Who I have lunch with is my own business. It has nothing to do with Ethan. And if he does know, so what?”
Dylan looked surprised for a second, then just gave her a thumbs up and left it at that. He barely glanced at Laura before turning back to Linda, hoping for another chance to talk. Linda wasn’t having it.
“Mr. Main, I’m busy. I’ve got to go.”
That was all it took to shut him down. Before Dylan could say another word, Linda was already leading Isabella and Laura past him, heading straight for the exit.
Out on the sidewalk, Linda turned to her new partners. “Isabella, Laura, if you see Dylan Main again, just stay away from him. Don’t be fooled by his good manners.”
“He’s got a reputation. He changes girlfriends like most people change clothes and, sure, his breakups are always peaceful, but he’s been with way too many women. Honestly, he’s a mess. Plus, he never wants to get married. If you fall for him, you’ll just end up hurt, unless all you care about is his money.”
Isabella had heard the rumors before. “He’s good-looking, I’ll give you that, but Ethan’s still on another level.”
She had already let go of the idea of chasing after someone as perfect as Ethan. There was no way she’d fall for Dylan.
