After I Stopped Loving Him novel Chapter 244

“Are you sure?” Ethan asked.

“I think so. Isabella’s shop is still under renovation, but she goes over sometimes to check on things. When she’s not filming, she’s usually at her studio working on her own stuff.” Frank didn’t sound completely certain.

Ethan didn’t push for more. He just hung up.

A few minutes later, the driver pulled out of the company parking lot with Ethan in the back seat.

“Keep an eye out for a flower shop. I want to buy a bouquet. And swing by The Cabinda Hotel—I need to pick up two boxes of pastries. After that, let’s go to Isabella’s studio.” Ethan gave his instructions without looking up from his phone.

Natalie had been craving Isabella’s BBQ ribs, and Ethan knew the only way Isabella would agree to cook for her was if he managed to get on her good side first.

The driver nodded, understanding.

They hadn’t gone far when the car slowed down. The driver turned around. “Ethan, there are two flower shops near the office. Both are always busy.”

The Adams Group was the biggest company in town. Their main building, along with several departments, took up more than half the street. With so many employees around, the businesses nearby practically thrived. Restaurants were always packed and even the flower shops sold out fast, especially on Valentine’s Day.

With all the young people working here, flowers were a hot commodity. Someone was always buying a bouquet for their crush. When Valentine’s Day came around, the shops couldn’t keep up with the demand.

“You go buy the flowers for me,” Ethan said.

The driver hesitated. “Ethan, if the flowers are for Isabella, you should really pick them out yourself. She’d be happier if she knew you chose them.”

Ethan thought about it for a second, then decided the driver was right. He got out of the car and walked into one of the flower shops. He asked the owner for a bouquet and watched as it was arranged.

He could already picture Isabella’s smile when she received them.
