After I Stopped Loving Him novel Chapter 251

“She’s your wife. She loves you. You’ve already hurt her, and now you want her to cook for the woman who’s always been between you? What were you thinking, Ethan? You actually asked Isabella to go back and make dinner for Natalie?”

“Every time Natalie comes up, you lose your mind. You let her play you however she wants, and you never stop to think for yourself.”

Harold’s heart really went out to Isabella. She was a great girl, innocent and undeserving of any of this. Ethan used her, broke her heart, and now every time Natalie called, Ethan would drop everything and run, demanding Isabella come home and cook for his old flame. It was like stabbing Isabella in the heart again and again.

Ethan’s face was dark and unreadable.

“Whatever. This is your mess. If I say too much, you’ll just think I can’t stand seeing you happy. Listen if you want, or just pretend I never said anything.”

“But Ethan, you and I are friends. I have to say this. If you don’t love Isabella, set her free. Divorce her. She loves you, but now she knows you don’t feel the same. If you let her go, she can move on, build a new life. You’d actually be doing her a favor.”

“If you can’t bring yourself to divorce her, then at least treat her right. Treat her like your wife.”

“You let go of Natalie a long time ago, didn’t you? You never even confessed your feelings. You didn’t compete with Jordan. So why are you pretending to be so devoted now?”

“You just can’t admit to yourself that you were a coward back then, can you? You refuse to face that part of yourself.”

“With your personality, if you really wanted someone—even if she was already with another guy—you’d do whatever it took to win her over. Back then, Jordan had just confessed to her. You had every chance to speak up, to fight for her. But you didn’t.”
