After I Stopped Loving Him novel Chapter 59

“Isabella, what do you say we take a trip to the beach?”

Ethan hadn’t seen Natalie Gates in a few days, and he really missed her. He’d thought that coming home with Isabella might mean running into Natalie, but Jordan had already taken her to the coast.

“I have a beach house there too. It’s right next to your family’s place… and Natalie’s is on the other side.”

All three families were wealthy, and since the three of them had grown up together, their parents had bought seaside villas side by side.

Isabella looked at Ethan and couldn’t help but feel a little sorry for him.

“If you want to go, we’ll go,” she said. “But it’s pretty windy and cold right now. If I’m going to freeze out there with you, you’ll have to give me a reward.”

Ethan reached out, like he was about to flick her forehead, but she threw her hands up to guard herself. He stopped just in time.

“Isabella Lane, are you just rolling in money now? Always talking about it.”

“I gave you hundreds of thousands before, then ten million for your startup, and now you want more? It’s like you’re just trying to turn all my money into yours.”

Isabella grinned. “We’re married, aren’t we? What’s yours is mine, and what’s mine… is still mine.”

“You’re the one who didn’t make me sign a prenup. We’re legally married now. Whether you love me or not, your stuff is already mine.”

Ethan shook his head. “What’s mine is mine. What’s yours is yours. We keep things separate. Even without a prenup, you’re not getting my pre-marriage money unless I actually give it to you.”

“I’m just messing with you,” Isabella said, her tone lighter. “I don’t really want your money. I just… I feel so wronged sometimes. I can’t help but feel sorry for myself.”

Her voice softened, turning a little sad.

“When you were chasing after me, you were so passionate. You treated me so well. Every day, you’d pick me up from work, always bringing little gifts.”
