Aiden Finnegan the Alchemist in Delcord novel Chapter 100

Ray was puzzled when he received Linda's call. He didn't understand what she meant.

Didn't Angelina mention that she had something to do tonight? Why is she going grocery shopping now?

Regardless, he was glad that he could go to Angelina's house for dinner.

Upon arriving at the medical center, Angelina spotted Aiden administering acupuncture to a patient. She didn't want to disturb him, so she quietly sat on the side.

After Aiden finished treating the patient, he noticed Angelina sitting there. He smiled and said, "When did you arrive? I didn't even notice."

"Are you done with your work?" Angelina asked, smiling.

Aiden glanced at the patients in the medical center. Since Reece should be able to handle it alone, he replied, "Almost."

"Will you take a walk with me?" Angelina mischievously looked at him.

Aiden nodded.

It seemed like Angelina had been smiling at him more frequently lately. This was a rare opportunity.

As they strolled along Vermilion Avenue, Angelina said, "Uncle Mason went home earlier and asked me to return to Gray Enterprise to work."

Aiden nodded and said, "That's great. It calls for celebration."

"But I declined," Angelina blinked.

Surprised, Aiden asked, "Didn't you always want to reclaim Gray Enterprise? Why did you refuse?"

"I want to start my own business and regain control of Gray Enterprise with my own efforts," Angelina firmly stated.

Aiden smiled and replied, "That's great. Have you decided on a project?"

"I'm sticking to my expertise and planning to open a beauty salon," Angelina replied with a smile. "So, can I borrow that one million from you?"

"That money was meant for you in the first place. Is one million enough? If not, I have more," Aiden chuckled.

Angelina shook her head and said, "It's enough. I'll start small for now. You need to keep the money on hand as working capital for the medical center. It can't be used randomly."

In Angelina's opinion, Aiden probably only had a few hundred thousand on hand. One million was likely a significant sum for him.

After all, she knew that Gabriel was the only person who had given Aiden a one million consultation fee. Aiden didn't earn much from regular patients.

"If the money is not enough, you must let me know," Aiden said.

Angelina nodded. "Okay."

For some reason, she suddenly enjoyed the feeling she had now. It wasn't because Aiden was wealthy, but because his words made her feel secure.

"By the way, did you ask someone for help with Avirax Medicare?" she suddenly asked.

Aiden nodded. "Didn't I tell you? I wanted Mason and the others to persuade you to come back. So, I called Zachary. Since Avirax Medicare was acquired by the Thatcher Family, he can be considered the boss now. However, I didn't expect you to refuse on your own."

"It was really you!" Angelina exclaimed.

Aiden looked at her with surprise and asked, "What's wrong?"

"It's nothing," Angelina quickly replied.

In her heart, she thought it would be better not to tell him about Ray to avoid making him overthink. However, her impression of Ray was extremely negative.

She didn't expect him to claim that he had sought help from someone.

She was annoyed with herself for even thanking him.

Suddenly, she remembered the incident when Aiden had insisted that she join Avirax Medicare. She quickly asked, "So, it was you who arranged the contract with Avirax Medicare through Zachary?"

"Yes," Aiden nodded.

Angelina stood there in disbelief.

He then took out his phone and dialed a number. "Uncle Isaac, I saw someone in Keyland who bears a striking resemblance to Young Master. Do you think it could be..."

"Is what you're saying true?" a middle-aged man on the other end of the phone asked in a deep voice.

Upon hearing this, the man replied, "I understand, Uncle Isaac."

Noticing Aiden staring at a small alley, Angelina asked curiously, "What's wrong?"

"It's nothing. Let's go," Aiden said.

Angelina nodded. As if she had made a big decision, she said, "Aiden..."

"Hmm? What's the matter?" Aiden looked at her.

Angelina's voice was barely audible, but Aiden heard every word clearly. He asked excitedly, "Really?"

"Yes." Angelina nodded.

Aiden then asked, "But if I don't sleep in the utility room, where will I sleep?"

"Are you asking that on purpose?" Angelina raised her head and glared at him through gritted teeth.

Upon seeing her expression, Aiden laughed.

"So, are you going back or not?" Angelina continued to ask.

"I'm going back."
