Aiden Finnegan the Alchemist in Delcord novel Chapter 111

Linda spoke and then entered the medical center.

Upon seeing her, Aiden stopped talking and sat at the consultation table.

"Why are you here, Mom?" Angelina asked with a frown, sounding displeased.

Impatiently, Linda responded, "Shouldn't I be concerned about you?"

"I've already made it clear, Mom. Please stop interfering in Aiden and my relationship," Angelina stated coldly.

Linda's expression changed upon hearing this. She asked, "What do you mean by that? Are you cutting ties with me because of this good-for-nothing? Who have I been working so hard for every day if not to provide you with a better life?"

"That's enough! You still don't understand! Do stop labeling him as 'good-for-nothing' anymore!" Angelina declared loudly.

At that moment, Aiden stood up and said, "If you want to argue, do it somewhere else!"

Hearing this, Linda's anger flared up. "So, now that you're wealthy and have connections, you're looking for revenge, huh? You want to cause problems between my daughter and me. Is that your plan? Well, let me make it clear—you won't succeed!"

He shook his head and asserted, "I'm not planning to get revenge on you, nor do I have any interest in doing so. I've fulfilled all my obligations during my three years in your family. I'm exhausted now, so please leave!" With those words, he turned around and headed towards the chamber.

"I'm not leaving!" Angelina overheard Aiden's words and quickly approached, wrapping her arms around him tightly while shedding tears.

Linda observed Angelina's emotional outburst, a subtle unease crossing her face. A mother's intuition told her that Angelina had genuine feelings for Aiden.

He gently loosened Angelina's grip and turned to face her, speaking calmly, "Let's not cause a scene. Go back to where you belong."

"Aiden, what are you doing? How can you treat my daughter like that?" Linda's anger flared at the sight of Aiden's cold demeanor towards Angelina. "I never thought highly of you, and I still don't. If you have an issue with me, take it out on me. But lashing out at my daughter—is that the best you can do?"

"Could you just stop talking? Just go! I don't want to see you!" Angelina exclaimed hysterically.

Aiden looked at Linda and stated calmly, "Lashing out? What have I done wrong? Don't I have the right to seek a divorce? Must I endure baseless accusations and disdain from all of you? And what about your mistrust and disdain for me? On what basis?"

"What did you just say? Are you claiming I have no sense of right and wrong?" Linda's anger flared. "Do you even realize who you're speaking to?"

"My mother-in-law, right? Have you ever treated me as a member of your family? All you do is shout at me every day and act shrewishly! Not only do you lack a sense of right and wrong, but you are also snobbish!" he retorted coldly.

Slap!

A resounding slap echoed in the room, and it was Linda who had slapped Aiden's face.

Angelina stood in stunned silence, taken aback by her mother's unexpected actions.

Linda, too, was surprised, having just witnessed Aiden insulting her. Unable to contain her reaction, she now grasped the gravity of the situation. A noticeable change had come over him, and she couldn't simply dismiss his behavior with a slap.

"Aiden..." Angelina turned her head around, locking eyes with Aiden, whose gaze burned with anger, directed squarely at Linda. An icy aura surrounded him, causing both the mother and daughter to shudder involuntarily.

"Aiden, my mom got carried away. She didn't mean to," Angelina explained urgently.

He sneered, responding sarcastically, "Just a momentary impulse, not intentional? Did you stop me just now to let her hit me?"

Aiden approached Linda with deliberate steps, his tone sharp as he questioned, "Do you think this is the Gray Residence where you can boss around? This is my medical center—the Finnegan Medical Center!"

Angelina stood up without showing any emotion and strolled toward the medical center's exit.

Seeing this, Linda quickened her pace and inquired, "Where are you going?"

"I need some time alone. Don’t follow me," Angelina said in a cold tone.

Despite her request, Linda persisted, cautiously trailing behind her. "But it's late now. Why are you going out alone?"

Upon hearing this, Angelina turned toward her mother and shouted, "Are you happy now? Nobody wants me!"

"Sure! Let's go home!" Linda reassured, swiftly getting into the car, a visible sense of relief spreading across her face.

After arriving home, Angelina headed directly to the study, where she kept her birth certificate. After finding it, she promptly turned to leave.

Harvey sensed something was wrong when Angelina and Linda entered the house and asked with concern, "Angelina, are you going out again?"

"Dad, I've decided to file for divorce tomorrow. I'm here to get my birth certificate," Angelina explained calmly.

Before Harvey could respond, the door of their residence burst open with considerable force.
