Aiden Finnegan the Alchemist in Delcord novel Chapter 137

Quentin was surprised and asked, "Did you already know?"

Aiden nodded and replied, "Who else could make my personal attendant betray me?"

Upon hearing Aiden's words, Quentin inquired, "What are you planning to do?"

"I am now just a son-in-law of the Gray Family," Aiden stated calmly.

Upon hearing that, Quentin chuckled and took out a bank card from his pocket. He handed it to Aiden and said, "This is the money you entrusted me with, including the profits from the company over the past three years. I assume you need it now."

Aiden accepted the bank card without bothering to ask about the amount inside. "Uncle Quentin, please return for now. When the time comes, I will come find you."

"Okay." Quentin nodded and stood up to leave.

As Aiden watched Quentin get into the car and drive away, he couldn't help but feel mixed emotions.

He used to be part of a super-elite family, where he held authority and there were no familial bonds. Despite Quentin being his uncle, he had to follow Aiden's orders within the family. Unexpectedly, even after Aiden left the Finnegan Family three years ago, Quentin still showed deep concern for him. They didn't exchange many words, but Aiden could sense Quentin's genuine care for him.

Aiden looked at the bank card, and his eyes revealed a momentary chill. This bank card had initially been left behind by him as a precautionary measure, with the expectation that it might never be necessary. However, circumstances had proven otherwise.

While riding in the car, Logan expressed his confusion, "Uncle Quentin, why does it seem like Mr. Aiden is a bit indifferent towards us?"

Quentin responded cheerfully, "Addie has changed. Those who conspired against him in the past will likely face consequences! After all, he used to be too soft-hearted."

Meanwhile, in the VIP ward at Prime Hospital, Calian, accompanied by the hospital director and a group of doctors, gathered around the hospital bed.

At that moment, there was an anxious man pacing back and forth in the room.

After examining the elderly patient on the bed, Calian approached the man and stated, "Mr. Harper's health is deteriorating."

"Mr. Kirves, what are you suggesting? My father was perfectly fine when he got off the plane. It was only after meeting an old friend that he suddenly fell ill," the man urgently exclaimed.

Calian shook his head and clarified, "Oliver, I understand your concern, but Mr. Harper didn't fall ill. His body has reached its limit."

"Could it be that my father was aware of his condition when he expressed the desire to visit an old friend?" Oliver Harper mumbled. He then grabbed Calian's arm and pleaded, "Mr. Kirves, please find a way to save my father!"

Calian smiled bitterly at Oliver and remarked, "Life, aging, illness, and death are beyond human control."

Oliver welled up with tears upon hearing those words. He stumbled toward the bedside, looking at the unconscious Samuel, and pleaded, "Dad, you can't go!" His voice carried overwhelming sorrow, evoking tears from those around.

Seeing this heart-wrenching scene, Calian let out a sigh, feeling a sense of helplessness. For a doctor, there was nothing more agonizing than witnessing a patient teetering on the brink of death with no ability to intervene.

Suddenly, his eyes lit up, and he swiftly produced the Corebuilder that Aiden had given him. With purposeful steps, he reached the bedside and exclaimed, "Step aside! Hurry, make way!"

Oliver, sensing Calian's urgency, quickly inquired, "Mr. Kirves, what's going on?"

"I have thought of someone who might be able to help Mr. Harper," Calian exclaimed eagerly. "Let's have him take this Corebuilder to buy some time."

Calian dismissed the concern with a wave of his hand, saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover. His medical skills surpass mine!"

Aiden ignored the ongoing discussions and quickly grabbed Samuel's arm to check his pulse. After a brief moment, he called out, "Calian, give me a hand here!"

"Sure," Calian responded, swiftly approaching the bedside and waiting for Aiden's instructions.

"It's a good thing you gave him Corebuilder earlier. Without it, my efforts would have been in vain, even if I'm here," Aiden expressed his gratitude.

Aiden then took out a medical bag from his pocket and instructed Calian, "Help me remove this elderly man's jacket."

After Calian removed Samuel's jacket, Aiden took out nine golden needles of different lengths from the medical bag. He carefully placed each needle on one of the nine major acupoints on Samuel's back.

While observing the needle placements, Calian exclaimed, "It's the Revitalia Nine-Needles technique!"

Aiden responded casually, "You do have some knowledge!" He paused briefly and then took out more golden needles from the medical bag, this time placing them on Samuel's chest. Then, he said to Calian, "Step back!"

Calian quickly moved away from the bed as Aiden pointed directly at Samuel's forehead. Subsequently, Aiden removed the nine golden needles from Samuel's back, allowing him to lie flat on the bed.

Aiden's right palm delicately moved across Samuel's body, leaving Calian mesmerized by the unfolding scene. From that gentle touch alone, Calian sensed a change in Samuel's energy.
