"Aiden," Angelina called softly.
Aiden turned around. "What's wrong?"
"Your past—" she began. She had made up her mind to understand his past and present.
He chuckled self-deprecatingly. "My past? It's worthless!"
She felt a little disappointed, knowing that he didn't want to talk about it, and wondered if he would share his past with Gina.
"Have you eaten yet? I can take you to a nice place!" he suddenly smiled.
Angelina's stomach growled, and her face turned slightly red. "Okay!"
As he looked at her blushing face, he couldn't help but be captivated. A hint of rosy color could be seen on her fair skin, making her irresistible.
"What are you staring at?" She asked, slightly annoyed.
He blurted out, "You look absolutely stunning!"
She felt delighted by his words but complained, "You rascal!"
He laughed. "I actually wanted to act like one, but you've been locking the door every night for the past three years, and I haven't had a chance!"
"In that case, I won't lock the door anymore! Will you come then?" she suddenly asked.
He smiled bitterly. "I was just joking!"
"But I wasn't." Angelina looked at Aiden seriously.
"Let's go. I'm hungry, too. Let's go eat!" He got out of the car.
"Coward!" she complained and then followed him out of the car.
Aiden took Angelina to a small burger restaurant deep in Vermilion Avenue and smiled. "Don't judge this place by its size or environment. The taste is authentic, even better than those restaurants in the capital!"
"Aiden, here you are!" The owner greeted Aiden.
Aiden nodded and smiled. "Mr. Larson, two as usual! And add two more!"
"Alright!" Mr. Larson replied and went into the kitchen.
She looked at the familiar interaction between Aiden and the owner and asked in confusion, "Do you come here often?"
"Not really, just occasionally. After all, I didn't have much money before!" Aiden said casually.
Angelina's gaze dimmed when she heard this, knowing that Aiden was referring to his days with the Grays. If it weren't for Linda insisting on stopping Aiden from working so he could cook meals at home, he would have found a job long ago.
But then, Angelina smiled. "The money you used to buy this—is it from the grocery money that Mom gives you?"
"Yeah! Sometimes, when the vegetables are cheap, I can save some money, and after a few times, I can afford such a meal. And sometimes, when I don't have enough, Mr. Larson would still make one for me!" Aiden smiled, looking quite proud.
Angelina looked at Aiden with a hint of amusement. "You seem quite pleased with yourself!"
"Well, to be honest, life would be quite enjoyable if your mom didn't always scold me!" Aiden chuckled.
Seeing his smile, Angelina suddenly spoke seriously, "Aiden, I won't nag you anymore from now on. Is that okay?"
Aiden smiled and nodded.

"Who will? You're shameless!" She stepped on the gas pedal and drove away.
Observing the Golf disappear, he touched his nose and muttered to himself, "Is this love?"
Back at the medical center, Aiden hummed a tune with a smile on his face.
Upon seeing this, Helena rolled her eyes. "Did you find money?"
"Even better!" Aiden replied with a smile.

"How are the test results?" asked a middle-aged man with sharp eyebrows and bright eyes anxiously as he entered the ward.
The doctors exchanged glances, but none of them spoke.
"Say something. I'm asking you a question! How is my father?" he shouted, furrowing his brow.
Finally, an older doctor stepped forward. "Mr. Jorgenson, your father's condition is critical. He may not survive the night."
"What are you saying? My father was fine this morning!" the middle-aged man was shocked, but then erupted in anger.

"No, this can't be! How can it be?" Mr. Jorgenson's voice was filled with sorrow.
He then turned to his secretary behind him. "Go find me a doctor. Find the best doctor in Keyland for me. Whoever can cure my father's illness will be greatly rewarded!"
